A little sweat is normal. Natural soy wax can react to higher temperature changes, which causes tiny fragrance oil beads to appear on the surface.

It doesn’t hurt the burn or scent at all. it’s actually a reminder that your candle is made with real soy wax, not fillers 🥰 🌱

Hi 👋🏼 It’s been a while since I reintroduced myself. I’m Paige 🕯️

I founded Paige’s Candle Co. in 2017. For the past 9 years, I’ve handmade soy wax candles and natural products.

I prioritize clean ingredients. That means I don’t work with ingredients that can disrupt your hormones or cause respiratory issues. I work with natural soy wax and fragrance oils free of harsh chemicals 🤌🏼

Also, a portion of sales is allocated each quarter to donate candle-making workshops to inner-city communities. This one is near and dear to my heart ❤️

PCC also specializes in team-building candle-making workshops. Some corporate clients include Spotify, Square, Adobe, PayPal, RXR, and CBRE, to name a few 🙂

I’ve certainly been lucky these past 9 years. I’ve had great partnerships, celebrity shoutouts, and incredible press. But the backbone of PCC hasn’t been these "name dropping" encounters. The real support has been from people like you, who value community and artisanal small businesses specializing in the craft of handmade goods.

My products are handmade with love. Never mass produced. Never a.i. Your support extends past an incredibly smelling candle. It uplifts community 🫶🏼

I told you it was coming 🕯️

Back in December, I shared how I was working hard to keep costs down before my suppliers raised prices. Well, it's here.

Starting April 11th, pricing across the shop will be increasing.

Here's what's going up behind the scenes that made this unavoidable:

1. Raw materials significantly increased from my suppliers
2. Packaging costs increased
3. Geo political issues 😫 Oil/gas affects shipping, production, etc.

All products are still handmade and I am NOT cutting corners on quality.

I held off as long as I could because I genuinely care about making Paige's Candle Co. accessible. But to keep the quality you know and love without substituting poo poo ingredients 💩, and while keeping this business sustainable, this is the necessary next step.

When I trim wicks, I attach a new metal tab for wicks to be used in new candles. This is how I'm trying to keep costs down while maintaining the same top notch quality you all love 👌🏼

I know, I know it sucks. So why the change?

As a small business, every vessel, fragrance, and label I carry adds to storage, production, and supply costs. To keep Paige’s Candle Co. sustainable and to avoid raising prices (for now) I needed to make some changes. Unfortunately, this included reducing the number of fragrances I offer and cutting back on SKUs so I can manage costs without compromising quality 🕯️

Thank you, truly, for continuing to support this handmade candle studio through all the changes, pivots, and growing pains 🥹

Here's how I'm trying to keep costs down before inevitable price increases from my suppliers next year 😅

Soooo many of you returned used Paige's Candle Co. candle jars to me during my local pop up markets 😭❤️🕯️ THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

I've been melting out remaining wax, soaking the vessel in a solution to remove the labels, and cleaning them out to reuse them. Some of my local suppliers have also returned some vessels to me and I couldn't be more grateful 🥲

This holiday season, I've received over 200 returned jars. I really appreciate my community for stepping in to help keep costs down 🙏🏼 Thank you 🥹

This is what soy wax looks like before it's poured into Big Bertha, Big Betty, and Tyrone (my commercial wax melters) 🕯️

Soy wax looks like juicy parmesan cheese flakes. Although it's eco-friendly, you definitely can't eat it 😂

On average, I can melt about 50 lbs in an hour and make about 100 candles within 2 hours. It's cool that these tiny flakes of soy help make such dope fragrances 🥰
