The Block Sharpener is a patented, handheld manual knife sharpener and honing tool manufactured in the USA. Engineered with a unique, flexible handle design and dual high-Rockwell honing steels, it realigns and molds dull blades back to their original true factory edge. Because it acts primarily as a honing tool, it works by straightening microscopic edge rolls and removes little to no metal, preserving the lifespan of high-quality cutlery. Core Design Features Patented Flex-Handle: Unlike rigid pull-through systems, the dynamic handle naturally flexes, allowing the crisscrossed rods to open, close, and automatically adapt to any blade's factory angle from 17° to 28°.Universal Blade Compatibility: It seamlessly sharpens standard V-edges, double bevels, hollow grinds, pocketknives, scissors, and outdoor tools like axes or machetes. Vibrating Serration Hone: When a serrated edge or bread knife is drawn through the center, the rods naturally chatter and vibrate into the gaps to hone the individual teeth without grinding them down. Heavy-Duty Safety Grip: Built with a high-traction, polyurethane handle and dual-sided non-slip rubber overshot grips, it remains perfectly stable whether pressed flat against a kitchen counter edge or held freehand via the ergonomic thumb guard outdoors. How to Use a Block Sharpener Correctly For Straight Edges: Anchor the sharpener firmly onto a stable surface. Squeeze the blade tightly into one side of the flexible steel rods and draw the knife smoothly from heel to tip. Lift the back end of your knife upward as you pull to follow the blade's natural curve. For Serrated Edges: Place the serrated blade directly into the middle of the rods. Roll or draw the blade through with a light, side-to-side chattering movement to hone each individual tooth. Pressure Adjustments: Use firm, solid pressure for severely dull blades to force the rods to flex and catch. Progressively lighten your touch on subsequent strokes to polish and refine the edge into shaving sharpness.
