This part of the project was definitely nerve racking. Taking all the hours of hard work then just beating it with some hammers, knives, and a wire wheel on an angle grinder… made me nervous but loved the weathered look it gave.

Watch till the end to see me almost destroy my stomach with the wire wheel, glad nothing further happened or else that would have hurt.

Ripping these cedar beams down with the worm drive table saw was a breeze! Followed cutting the beams to width by getting some half laps cut with the track saw!

This project is coming out great! Stay tuned for the final product!

Getting these beams glued up for the next part of the project! Parallel clamps make easy and quick work with plenty of even pressure for a solid glue up!

Using 3 because this project will be both inside and outside and that’s the best choice of glue for this application!

Ripping these Cedar boards down and cutting them to length is a fun but tedious process! Best part about it is it makes the shop smell amazing!

This project is coming together nicely! Excited to show the remaining process and reveal what it is soon!

Was able to find some time to get back in the shop to start working on more projects.

My favorite part of cutting boards is putting the oil on them! Really brings out the beauty and the colors of the wood. Especially with end grain maple and Purple Heart!

Finished up these shelves! Super happy with how they came out. Even better that the customer was stoked!

Going to be doing a butcher block install under them coming up soon! Keep an eye out!

This was a first for me, I’ve never done any kind of steam bending before but I’m happy with how this came out for the hardwood edge on these shelves!

The edge banding was pretty thin but not thin enough to just bend without steam, so a regular ole steamer for clothes did the trick!

These shelves are really starting to come together and I’m excited to keep sharing the process!
