Don't think I mentioned yet that the last project to come out of my current shop will be a complete set of kitchen cabinets and vanities for my duplex in Georgia. I had surprisingly more material on hand than I thought so cost is a bit skewed. Been a pretty simple process so far but a ton of work. Have all the doors and drawers to do but that should go much quicker than all the cabinet boxes. Hoping to get out under $1k on this.

If you and I have anything in common it's that life moves on whether you finish the project you were working on or not. I have projects I get halfway through or about ready to get started and p**f, another project comes along and the previous one gets left in the dust (have about 2 dozen of those). THIS is no exception, I've never had more of my time occupied nor a longer a 2DO list, yet here we are. My next major project I'll be posting about is this duplex. Each side is 3 bed, 1.5 bath and 1500 square feet. I'll be occupying one side while the other side is rented. My side needs a lot of work and I can't wait to get started on this and grow my skillset! Kitchen is gutted currently and I'll be removing the built in, building my own cabinets and vanities, re-tiling the entire first floor, removing the center wall, adding lights, adding an island, and adding a washer and dryer in the kitchen. Don't be fooled, the kitchen has filthy, old rotten cabinets the seller painted white, they are rotten at the bottom and covered in roach f***s. Yes there is still currently a roach problem and it will takes months before it goes away. He also switched out the appliances. Here we go.

When you were 23, maybe you got married, graduated college, had a kid, moved out, had your first regular income, bought your first car, or had any list of typical accomplishments at that age. I've done a few of those things, and a lot of other stuff that people would think I would be more proud of, but to this day, there's nothing more I look back on with more pride and happiness than this project. It destroyed my sense of time, my circadian rhythms, put my school work on hold and job search to near hault, and forever took 6 weeks of my life away. But I think instead it gave me 6 weeks of life. Something to look back on and say I spent 6 weeks living instead of focusing on the things we usually let nag our minds. It was stressful for sure but nothing rewarding in life is rewarding because it was easy.

I know this project was complete 3 months ago, but I was hoping to save the big unvail for when I completed the video, well I'm a solid 3 minutes into it but a lifetime away from finishing it, so rather than act like my life hasn't moved on, I figured I'd go ahead and post this so I can keep sharing my maker life as it unfolds.

If something makes you happy, you'll never regret going for it or making sacrifices to make those things happen. This is the Princess Bed.
