Time and Table, A Vintage Shop at the Waterfront Flea Market

Last weekend was the 52nd weekend of the Time and Table home decor vintage "shop" situated in a booth at the . Plans changed so I won't be there this coming weekend but will return the following one when I will celebrate all who made it possible! (Watch this space for notice!)

Every single purchase, every single item donated or consigned helping to stock the shop, every single bit of vendor advice and warm welcome.

A special shout out to Jennifer Crosby, the FleaMarket manager. AND of course my "partner" Sue Levandowski of Vintage Funk in the booth next to mine allowing me to keep the booth open for the whole year. Plus a special nod to Bill who kept a somewhat watch-filled 👁 out when needed. 😘

Every purchase you made mattered, and every story you shared did too. It's difficult on one's social life being at the Fleamarket every weekend....but you the customer, both in sales and stories, made it very.very.worthwhile. See you soon!

I love this piece of Wedgewood from the late 1880's. It's so beautiful and though almost 150 years old, it has a modern design sensibility. It's that prophetic vision of what is beautiful that separates enduring artists from everyday ones I suppose. The ladle is new. It's available at my shop at the any weekend 9-4pm.

This past Christmas the NYT did a review of the best tinned fish. Well....as it turns out I have a perfect century Delft Herring platter ($20) for you to serve it. And a beautiful votive (Musuem of Modern Art $12) for the table. The ginger jar ($16) can sit somewhere on the table, filled with flowers. You add friends and/or family! You can buy any of these items at my "shop" at the any Saturday and Sunday, from 9-4pm.

These Blenko Water Bottles are so perfect! You can buy this one at the "shop" at the 9-4pm every Saturday and Sunday. It's a bit lighter blue than this, and not as heavy as the newer bottles, but lovely nonetheless.

This shiplap Wall Plate Rack measures 35"w x 30" tall. It can be affixed to the wall by screws (whose tops are then painted white) or braced by the sides and bottom. The price is $60 which is considerably less than available online or in stores. You can find it for as long as it lasts at the Saturdays and Sundays, 9-4pm Fort Andross. There is no reserved parking in effect except for Cumberland Storage. See you there!

These beautiful teapots can be purchased separately or for a MUCH better price, as a collection. They are mostly English (Sheffield, Leornard, Reed & Barton, etc) from the 1830's. Here is how they are displayed at the "shop" at the Saturdays & Sundays 9-4pm. See you then!

This gorgeous platter seems especially directed at a new year..."Koi is actually the informal name for this species—they are often referred to as Japanese koi or by their Japanese name, nishikigoi. In Japanese, the koi fish meaning is “brocaded carp.” In Japanese culture, koi fish are often kept since they symbolize luck, prosperity, and good fortune." I hope we all have this, in the non-monetary ways it comes as well, in the new year. You can purchase this platter at 'my shop" at the on Saturday or Sunday, 9-4 for as long as it lasts. Cost is $28.

I've been very surprised that this Peterboro Knitting Basket hasn't moved....such a great Christmas gift for the knitter in your life. I loved it so much (a rule of thumb, I have to want to keep any item!) that I thought about taking up knitting. But I think I just handed off some knit squares from my one and only foray into it 20 years ago. I loved the yarn so kept the squares for way too long. But if you are interested, it's waiting for you at the "shop" at the Brunswick Waterfront Flea Market Saturday or Sunday! 9-4pm.

This Fall table, turned into Thanksgiving table features my favorite items in the shop (besides all the other ones😀) including the Wedgewood Litchfield priced at a very affordable price, the Wheat and Flower Optic Depression Waterglasses, the Limoges Footed Cake plate that is at an obscenely low price, and the Sheffield Water Pitcher. The color in this 14" dish is all that. Its heft and shape settle the spirit. Everything is right in this piece. There are some imperfections but none that mar its beauty. It will go to the shop at the Brunswick Waterfront Flea Marketin a week or two. The original owner purchased it at an Art Show in 1997 but did not have the name of the artist. Maybe between now and then I'll find it. I love a good mystery.

I follow some folks who do vintage in England and their shops, sometimes in barns or stand-alone, are always so, resonating.
