Every baby needs a cute quilt. I thrifted the alphabet panel and added colored blocks of fabric left over from other quilting projects. This is a useful size, measuring 38" by 50". It has colorful pictures, letters, animals and numbers. What more could one desire in cuteness?

This cutie was made from the same wedding dress I made the recent Bridal kimono. I've been wanting to make a bear from a wedding dress, and I finally got the chance! How cute is she? Super cute! She's 13 inches tall and has moveable limbs. The ruffle around her neck is the Bride's garter, complete with dark green ribbon and a vintage Mother of Pearl button.

Side note: as I was typing "appliques" auto correct changed it to "soldiers" and I'm never going back. Lace Soldiers grace the front of this kimono in a cascading pattern down the front, sparkling with tiny pearls, beads & sequins. A fabulous use of a dress and a lasting memento for the Bride.

I've been making fabric gift bags since the early 1990s. But the elf booties are the funniest yet! Dollar store Christmas tree ornaments turned gift bag embellishments, adding a touch of whimsy to a solid-colored bag. And that oddly shaped gift? A fabric gift bag solves that wrapping dilemma speedy quick! Embroidery, ribbon, buttons and beads, all come together as part of the adornments. What will your gift bags look like? Kwik Sew K4364 makes a nice casserole carrier! I think I'll try it again. Another project will be the pie carrier. Great useful items that make thoughtful gifts. I love to sew!

I love creating! A thrifted tablecloth provides lots of fabric for bags. Wooden candy canes and peppermint drops add interest and texture, not to mention Christmas fun! I appliqued the cute animal pictures and then sewed the candy to the bags. Bias tape provides a colorful drawstring closure. What will your bags look like? Merry Christmas! 🎄❄️☃️

Reading pillows are great gifts for the littles. A 16-inch pillow with a handle for easy carrying and a large pocket for a book. The back has an envelope closure for ease of removal.
