The Ella Ruth Marketplace Ella Ruth was born to Willie and Estelle Brinkley in 1932. She lived through some of the hardest and most trying time in America.

Our mission is to empower local makers and small-business entrepreneurs—especially women and homegrown talent—by offering a platform to sell handcrafted goods, artisan products, vintage finds, and creative services. Name: The Ella Ruth Marketplace

Named for Ella Ruth Leonard, a beloved and longtime resident of Bryan, Tex

Its mission is to empower local makers and small-business entrepreneurs—especially women and homegrown talent—by offering a platform to sell handcrafted goods, artisan products, vintage finds, and creative services. • Vendor Community: Features a rotating collective of artisans, designers, creators, and vintage curators, many following in Ella Ruth’s entrepreneurial footsteps.

• Atmosphere: A warm, welcoming space—echoing Ella Ruth’s hospitality—Designed for browsing, gathering and connecting

• Events & Workshops: Hosts hands-on creative workshops and community meet-ups, fostering collaboration and skill-sharing. Additionally hosts a three-day outdoor and indoor market, featuring small-business pop-ups, trunk shows, and high-end vendors. Selective local food trucks (maximum of two) featuring Texas and local handcrafted cuisine that will not compete with neighboring restaurants.

• Local Culture & Downtown Synergy: As part of the revitalized downtown Bryan area—known for its historic architecture, First Friday events, and farmers markets—the Marketplace adds depth and charm to the cultural district. Founding & Leadership:
