coffee first, always. then printing orders, labels printing under very close feline supervision, and wrapping this little green majolica dish like the treasure it is!!

add in some bubble wrap, tape, and a nice little thank you card, and off it goes to its new home.

the worn, hand carved leaf details under this table is the reason I just had to keep it for our home.

aged copper is arguably the best metal to just leave the tarnish. new metal can’t compete with the colors only time create. let the tarnish glow ✨

my first in-house art collection “Tally-Ho” started as a moodboard, spending hours scanning through public domain artist’s works - not a file I found in 10 minutes. The Gallery is reprinted art and I’d never tell you otherwise. There’s a difference between grabbing an image off google and sourcing a masterpiece with intention, rendering the size to how the artist would have created it, and printing it the way it deserves. That difference is the purpose of all the pieces you’ll find in The Gallery by The Common Place, to give forgotten pieces a second life and preserve a cultural history of the past. From english fox hunting panoramas fit for a fireplace, to small equestrian art for a bookshelf, it all hangs in The Gallery.

this bowl held sugar for someone in the late 1890s/ early 1900s, in a house with no electric light. now it’s holding a candle with a Halloween-adjacent name from Homegoods, and the pairing is doing more than either piece could do alone. no rule about mixing old and new. just an empty ABP crystal bowl and a candle that smells really good.
