Humanité opened its doors in March 2010 with a promise and a mission: To hand select on-trend, standout clothes, and accessories that inspire your sense of compassion as much as your sense of style. From carrying labels that care (organic, local, Fair Trade) to our pricing philosophy that lets you give back with every purchase, without breaking the bank - all our clothing and accessory items are $

100 or less, and 10% of all profits go to support organizations like, Heart for Africa and other local charitable organizations like Operation Christmas - Humanité puts social consciousness at the heart of the boutique shopping experience. In 2009, owner Erin Smith packed her bags and boarded a plane as part of a humanitarian aid mission to the kingdom of Swaziland, located just north of South Africa. Seeing how even the smallest acts of human kindness can create a connection and make a positive change, Erin returned to her hometown of Bryson City, N.C. with a mission to channel her longtime love of fashion and entrepreneurial spirit into a different kind of business - a business built on kindness. The way she saw it, the clothes in our suitcases, the jewelry in our jewelry boxes - even the jewelry boxes themselves - could all do something more, for more than just ourselves. Shopping at Humanité isn't just about walking out with an affordable, one-of-a-kind find, or slipping into an incredible fit no matter your size. It's about breezy daywear, versatile workwear, fab party frocks, smart denim and stylish basics that don't just look good and feel good, but that actually do good.
