St. Elmo General Store Quintessential 'Mom & Pop' shop located in the beautiful mountains of Colorado! We are located in Coloado's most original ghost mining town of St.

Elmo, CO amid the 14,000' peaks in the San Isabel National Forest. We have a unique store nestled in the beautiful mountains at 10,019 feet. We have a blend of new and old – everything from souvenir St. Elmo t-shirts and caps to old full size wagons, collectibles and yes even the antique kitchen sink! Our vast inventory takes up the inside of our building and spills out into ‘The Yard’. We also se

ll the essentials: cold drinks, ice cream and snacks to get you through the day. We are open 7 days a week May through September and maybe into October if weather permits. So take a drive and come visit us! The ride up the mountain road is beautiful! Maybe you will see a moose along the way! Come see the numerous amount of hummingbirds buzzing around the store front! Can't miss out on the cute chipmunks that will beg for a treat! Hope to see you soon!

Good morning! The snow has melted away! The county crew worked on the road yesterday and it should be a nice ride! (Thank you Chaffee County road crew!) Dispersed camping is accessible on Tincup - four wheel drive is required.

Springtime in Colorado! 8 inches of much needed precipitation! Creek is starting to freeze. Temps are going to plummet tonight. I had to sacrifice the tops of a couple pair of wool blend socks for the feeders. Hothand warmers aren't going to last through the night. Hopefully the hummingbirds fly to lower elevation for a day or two. Chipmunks aren't liking it much either!

We have been busy in the off season creating new designs or fine tuning current designs for t-shirts, jackets, caps, drinkware and other merch! It's a good thing you can't see our workspace in the office!🤪👀😳😣 We have spent a lot of our time working to bring in some cool s #&% ! Still working on ideas! Well...... that never really stops 🙂
