“The greatest beauty arises from the ashes of our most profound pain.”
On Jan 4th I unexpectedly had to say goodbye to my dog Jax. For those of you that know me- my furkids are my entire world. They are everything to me. It has been the hardest thing I have ever gone through.
I have sat with my pain and I’ve struggled with it.
During those first few days I received some beautiful flowers from friends that I couldn’t bear to toss out.
I tried pressing for the first time and prayed they some of them would turn out okay so I could keep them forever.
Fast forward a few weeks later, I removed them from my book piles and these purple ones were just absolutely perfect. I decided instead of using them in a bowl I would make something I could take everywhere.
These are one of many pairs of earrings I am currently working on.
I’ve realized as time goes on I have become more and more called to dive into jewelry making. Bracelets have been my favorite for a while- but I am eager to continue expanding my skill set and continue to create more unique one of a kind pieces as well.
I will be stepping away from making larger resin art or taking resin customs for the foreseeable future.
Out of the deep pain of losing Jax came a spark that ignited a new flame for me.
🙏🏻thank you all for being here on this journey with me
