The Lady of the Lake
Truth & Strength. What do those words mean to you? Tomorrow, August 27th 2026 we have a Full Moon in Sagittarius - if you’ve been around for a bit, you know that I am a sagittarius rising. Honestly, I love that I'm a sag rising. Over the years I’ve identified with it more and more as I’ve grown and evolved and have come to understand myself deeper. I like to say that your rising sign is who you are ~ rising ~ into. It is the very beginning of your birth chart. It determines where all of the other planets start and end. It creates an energy around you that is impermeable, it’s your armor. Your soul’s force field. The more you heal and evolve the more you emit that energy outward, confidently. It protects you but also gives others unconscious cues as to who you are energetically. Learning someone’s rising sign always gives me great insight into the energy they inherently possess. It’s a snap shot, a little clue into the world and mind of that person.
I am a sag rising. Sagittarius is a fire sign. It is mutable, meaning it’s flexible and adaptable. I swear it’s where all my creative flare steams from. In fact, I know it’s where my creative ideas stem from, with the help of my Air buddies in my big three - Libra Sun, Gemini Moon. It’s the reason I am obsessed with creativity and the driving force behind my deep desire to share creativity with others. It’s the fire fueling my passions. It’s a vortex of energy, deep within my solar plexus chakra that helps fuel my ideas, intuitive hits, and inner calling. I am never lacking in creative ideas... making them tangible though... that’s where I struggle. I am a deep thinker but can lack initiative and drive bringing things to life. It is something I am conscious of, and am always working to refine.
Take a moment to look into your birth chart - even if it's just finding out what your rising sign is. To do so you need to know your Birthday, Birth location, and exact time you were born. There are plenty of free websites out there that will generate your chart given the information is correct. Knowing your rising sign can tell you so much about who you are! It may give you answers as to why and how you operate. It is a great starting point if you are interested in astrology or just want to know more about the energy you innately possess and give off.
With all that being said, I pulled cards for us, asking what this full moon has in store. Tarot - Strength. Oracle Deck - The Lady of the Lake, & Truth. I’ve been reading a lot lately about the third chakra in our energy system - the electromagnetic field that we all possess. The solar plexus chakra. Sitting right below your naval. Yellow in color. Bright like the sun. Where your personal power, self-esteem, and inner fire resides. It also is responsible for digestion, motivation, and confidence. This is the chakra you pull strength and energy from. When you pull from this space, consciously or unconsciously - are you pulling from a space of truth, integrity, and strength? Are certain things in your life draining your energy, requiring you to self-abandon? What can be pruned away, where can your energy be re-directed right now. With this full moon - focus on where you’re consciously putting your time, attention, essence, and fire. What can be released, what can be let go. Tap into the energy of The Lady of the Lake and direct your current, wherever it’s needed most. Trust in your inner knowing, pour your light into the darkness. Share your essence with the world.
