Sloan's Antiques Art, Props, Furniture- assorted styles & eras. Be ready for an immersive antique hunting experience. Sloan's Antiques is a treasure of Buffalo's East Side.

It originally opened across the street from its present location in the early 1950s by Sol and Gertrude Sloan. Holocaust survivors, they emigrated to the United States and Buffalo NY after the war with their two children. After working in a slaughterhouse in Buffalo, Sol decided to start pedaling scraps and junk. He eventually was able to purchase a small storefront with a home in the back on William Street. The store morphed through the years from junk, to guns, to antiques. Having outgrown the small storefront the former Wolf's furniture store, a four story building, came up for sale. The Sloan's purchased the building and have been there ever since. Max and his wife Liz, ran the store for many years, and recently their children- Josh and Jessica have taken over. When you visit Sloan's Antiques you will see giant fish, bear skins, disco balls, neon signs, lamps, paintings of all sorts, and of course antiques. It is a landmark worth visiting, a piece of Buffalo history. It is truly a store and a museum. Most items are for sale, some are for rent, and others are part of the history of the store/East side neighborhood/Buffalo. Explore three floors + of antiques and treasures. Art, Furniture, Props, Architectural Salvage, Museum. Sloan's is open Tuesday-Saturday 11:30-2:30.

The East Side is getting a big boost in the form of a new playground, modern stage pavilion, and green infrastructure, as part of a $2.3 million comprehensive revitalization of Sears-Paderewski Park (https://www.newcityparks.org/projects/sears-paderewski-park). The park is in the shadow of the Central Terminal, at 358 Paderewski Drive. Empire State Development (ESD) has announced that renovations across three city-owned parcels—an abandoned pavement-covered lot and two adjacent vacant lots—will provide the Broadway-Fillmore community with many of the recreational amenities that they have been asking for over the years.
