I built these for a lady at my church. She's an interior designer and they are using them for an upcoming conference. Not sure if they'll be selling like hotcakes in your area, but what would you charge for something like this?

It's y'all!

It got a little dusty in the shop today ripping down some into some , rounding up the edges and sanding through the grits to make a couple of end tables.

Live edge cedar desk!!! 😍🤩

Custom desk built for a customer who works from home. I included the inspiration for the design. The extra tall drawer on the right has a full width platform for a printer!

I also did the shiplap wall.

Update on the birdhouse project!

I haven't been able to devote much time to it due to focus on finishing other things, but I got a roof put on and I made a couple of chimneys to support the perch dowels. I also began making the base support box that will mount to the pole and help stabilize it during heavy winds.

I've got some tar paper that I'm thinking of cutting into shingles but what do you think I should use for the roof?

Happy sawdust Saturday y'all!

What did you work on today?

I made a case for this beautiful wood and epoxy game board.

This took me all day but it turned out so well. I cut the dados and the folds, then glued it up. While that dried, I cut the 1/4" plywood for the base and the 1/8" plexiglass for the lid. Once that was done, I put the pieces together with the base, then I cut the box lid apart fort the bottom. I mocked up the hinges to make sure it all works, then removed the hardware for priming and painting.

What do y'all think?

Making progress on something new!

While my epoxy projects are curing, I decided to try my hand at a Martin birdhouse.

The insides are 1/4" plywood and each layer can house 8 birds in individual cubbies. That's 16 birds!

I have a plan for mounting it on a pole and securing it to a metal post that is cemented in the ground.

I really just hope it attracts all the Martins nearby to swarm around my house and cut down the fly and mosquito population!

This was such a fun project and it's awesome to put my gifts and talents to use as a blessing for others. Praise God for all He's given me.

Guess What! Today, our Noah's Ministry, Inc. friend Keith, got to deliver what he built for a special needs classroom!! A Special Ed teacher needed our help at Caprock Elementary in Fort Worth. We reached out to our carpenter friend and asked him if he could help us out and boy did he! These cubbies are great! Thank you so much!
