Being the second generation in the business, we have the same passion about oriental rugs as our late father Yusuf Melek. Our main focus is one-of-a-kind, 40 to 120 years old vintage rugs and accessories made out of them. Each item in our store was made by artisans. We source them, select them and revive them meticulously. We have a dedicated team here in San Francisco and Istanbul to make our cus

This vintage kilim comes from Southwest Turkey, carrying the bold geometry and tribal motifs that make Anatolian flatweaves so timeless.

We recently sent this vintage Malatya kilim to Idaho, and seeing it settled into its new home reminded us why we love what we do.

This Oushak has that soft, airy palette we always love — pale sky blues, washed ivory tones, and small touches of faded peach layered over a calm silvery field.

Because as much as a rug changes the feeling of a room… a room changes the rug too.

They first discovered this piece on our website, shortlisted a couple of favorites, then made a Sunday appointment to see them in person at the Rug Cave.

And once this vintage Turkmen was rolled out, it just felt right. It really does in this lovely study!
