My name is Dree and I’m the pyrography (and social media) portion of The Sage Wren. My husband, Michael, is the woodworker. Our kids, Sage and Wren, provide entertainment and occasional help in the wood shop 😁

Never underestimate the power of beeswax & mineral oil on cherry wood ❤️ It deepens the color to a beautiful red/brown and provides the wood with the protection it needs from everyday use.
We made wooden knives on a whim and they turned out so cool! Perfect for wedding or anniversary cake cutting, and coming to an Etsy store near you 😁

Parenting is never dull. Most of the time it’s awesome, but other times you find your favorite shading tip in the dryer 😔 Fortunately there were gift cards to cash in and we added some new products to the family. These ones will stay hidden from little fingers 😏

Just got back from a camping trip in northern Wisconsin, where we enjoyed a different kind of wood burning.
Looking forward to getting back in the studio, though! A week with nature provided plenty of inspiration ❤️

Did you know that a group of monarchs is called a roost or a bivouac?
Just finished up a custom order and sent this roost off in the mail!

We haven’t had any monarchs come through yet, so I’m hoping maybe by burning a picture of one, I can manifest them into existence. What’s that saying, “If you burn it, they will come”?
I planted milkweed just in case this doesn’t work 🤷🏼‍♀️
