It was a beautiful day to be in the woods. 🍂

A rough draft:

I’ve spent so many years
With my back to a boulder,
Letting my bones sink in and be held
While the river’s babbling soothes
And slows down my breathing.

Notebook in hand,
A loved one nearby.

We’d trace the empty stone basins
With our forefingers,
Letting them linger a little bit longer
when our hands would accidentally touch.
Circular motions at a heron’s pace.

There were seasons where the river
Was gushing and high.
Those years, we understood how it
had carved bowls into the earth.
A perfect place to crush herbs into fine powders.
And there were seasons that it was so low,
So desperate, that we took note of the fiddleheads instead.

I’ve spent so many years
With my back to a boulder,
Letting my bones sink in and be held
While the river’s babbling soothes
And slows down my breathing
That it’s always shocking how mesmerizingly
different it is with each visit.

Hi! I’ve been MIA - deep in asking and trying to answer soul questions. I’m not sure what my next move is, folks. But I know my heart isn’t in this anymore. It feels kind of like a break up - I want to keep pursuing and I see other small biz makers crushing their goals and I envy that… until I realize that it truly isn’t for me right now.
I’m being called to do and create other things. I’m hoping this platform can evolve to hold space for that. Thanks for being along for the ride! So grateful you’ve let small batch nontoxic products into your life for this long. 💗

It’s this kid’s birthday today! We’ve been doing this parenting thing for 2 years now! Amidst a pandemic for 18 months of that! Holy sh*t. So amazed at how this kid carves his own way and always knows exactly what he needs. Stay wild, R 💗 We love you all ways.
