Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center (AMRTC) Remodel

Auromira Architects is leading a significant renovation at the Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center (AMRTC), focusing on improved functionality and long-term operational efficiency. Phase I of the project involves relocating the facility’s existing pharmacy from Level 1 to Level 2, allowing the vacated first-floor space to be repurposed for a new Procedure Suite (Phase II) housing Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), Dental Services, Medical Services and associated staff support areas. Construction is complete for Phase I of the project. Phase II construction is currently in progress and will be completed in March 2026.

To accommodate the relocated Pharmacy, the second-floor structure was reinforced with structural steel framing designed to support an Omnicell Medication Carousel.

This renovation addresses a long-standing need to improve patient care accessibility and security by separating patient and staff-only areas. Placing the pharmacy on the second floor within a secure staff zone also allows flexibility for future programmatic growth.
