I create the quilt tops and send them out for machine quilting. Prices: Here is an estimate of labor prices by approximate quilt size:
Lap quilt or smaller: $40
Twin: $55
Full: $70
Queen: $85
King: $100
Materials used for backing and sashing/binding will be added to the above price, and vary by several different factors, i.e. desired width of sashing, size of quilt, double or single sashing. Inter
facing for the back of t-shirts is included in the pricing above, and the batting is included in the quilter's charge. Quilting fees: When you contact me regarding a t-shirt quilt, I will contact the quilter for her most up-to-date pricing. Depending on how backed up I am, I can create the quilt top in under a week and once it is back from the quilter I can add the binding in about 3 days. The turn-around time at the quilter's varies as well, and is especially long during the Christmas season. If you are interested in having a personalized t-shirt quilt made, allow around a month for turn-around time (perhaps more during Christmas). If you do your own machine quilting, or have someone that you would rather quilt it, I am happy to just make the quilt top and binding (made from extra sashing material, to ensure that it matches). If this is the route you choose to take, the turn-around time would be only 1-2 weeks, depending on the time of year.

If you have a quilt top that you would like hand-quilted send me a message with the following information:
-Dimensions and pattern of quilt top (a picture would be helpful if you have it)
-Type of quilting requested (description below)
-If you have a specific quilting pattern in mind, let me know.
-Color of quilting thread desired (white generally works best for most quilts, but in some cases a darker color may be needed)
-If you need it by a certain date, include that information as well.
-Any comments or special requests. Outline Quilting: In this form of quilting, each shape (either a piece in a block, or an appliqued piece) is stitched around. Stencil/pattern Quilting: In this form of quilting, a pattern is drawn onto the quilt with disappearing fabric marker, and the design is quilted onto the quilt. Mixed: In this form, both types of quilting are used in one quilt. If your quilt is made entirely of patchwork blocks, outline quilting is probably your best bet. If there is a wide enough border, a stencil pattern could be quilted there. Many quilts incorporate patchwork blocks as well as plain blocks. In this case, it would look best to use outline quilting on the patchwork blocks and stencil quilting in the plain blocks. Hand quilting takes a considerable amount of time, and as I only do this in my spare time and have another full time job, turn-around time may be anywhere from 2-6 months. It all depends on the size of quilt, the intricacy of quilting desired, and how backed up I am at the moment. If the quilt is extra large and you desire heavy quilting, it could take as long as a year to complete. Hand Quilting Prices:
Outline quilting: $5 per square foot
Stencil/pattern quilting: $7 per square foot
Mixed (stencil and outline used on same quilt): $6 per square foot
If you have material that would work for backing or binding fabric, you can send it to save some money. Otherwise, I will purchase the required fabric and add it to your bill. You can choose to bind your quilt yourself if you wish, or I can do it for you. Binding Prices:

If edges of quilt are scalloped, an additional $15 charge is added.
