🚂 The Story Behind the Treasure

At first glance, this looks like a beautiful steam locomotive. But take a closer look…

This stunning handmade Ken Broadbent horological collage was created in Worcestershire, England, using repurposed brass gears and parts from vintage watches and clocks. Every tiny piece was carefully placed by hand, giving new life to timepieces from the past.

You may notice the name Thomas Rogers worked into the locomotive. That’s no accident.

Thomas Rogers (1792–1856) was the founder of Rogers Locomotive and Machine Works in Paterson, New Jersey. During the 1850s, his company became America’s leading builder of steam locomotives, helping define the classic “American” steam engine that opened the frontier and connected a growing nation.

This artwork is inspired by an 1855 Rogers locomotive, blending railroad history with the intricate craftsmanship of vintage clockmaking. It’s more than wall art—it’s a tribute to two remarkable pieces of history.

Introducing The Peacock Parlor 🦚✨

Meet Connie & Danny, the heart behind The Peacock Parlor at 57 Main Antiques!

For Connie, collecting isn’t just a hobby—it’s a lifelong passion rooted in family memories. At just six years old, she fell in love with tiny perfume bottles after buying her very first miniature bottle. As a teenager, her aunt gifted her pieces of Blue Willow china, and with her mother’s help, that small gift grew into a lifetime of collecting and treasure hunting.

Today, Connie and Danny work side by side, combining their love of antiques, decorating, and creating warm, inviting spaces. Danny is her biggest supporter and has a true talent for sourcing unique finds, making them the perfect treasure-hunting team.

Their booth is filled with an ever-changing mix of vintage glassware, wire baskets, antique kitchenware, tools, lunch boxes, wall décor, charming trinkets, coastal-inspired accents, and one of Connie’s favorites—Hollywood Regency décor. You’ll also find collections she personally loves, including Fiesta Ware, antique bottles, vintage decanters, pink Depression glass, and sparkling vintage crystal.

One treasure especially close to Connie’s heart is a gold gilded peacock. She once raised peacocks and still treasures their beauty—it’s the inspiration behind The Peacock Parlor itself.

When you visit, Connie hopes you’ll feel warmth, coziness, vibrant color, nostalgia, and the excitement of discovering a treasure that brings back wonderful memories. ❤️
