🕰️ Throwback Thursday | A Little Cadiz History

Did you know that Cadiz has been welcoming visitors for more than 200 years?

Founded in 1821, Cadiz quickly became the heart of Trigg County. Long before modern highways, the town square was bustling with farmers, merchants, and neighbors gathering to shop, trade stories, and catch up on the latest news. Horses and wagons once lined Main Street where so many of us now stroll and browse local shops.

One of the best parts of antiquing is knowing that many vintage treasures have lived through the same generations that shaped our hometown. Every old dish, clock, toy, or piece of furniture carries a story—and maybe even one that began right here in western Kentucky.

Next time you’re in downtown Cadiz, take a moment to imagine what Main Street looked like a century ago. Then stop by 57 Main Antiques and discover a piece of history you can take home.
