This antique chandelier and server were two of the very first pieces we bought for the house back at the Spring '25 show.

The chandelier ended up having to be completely rewired... but it's perfect for the entryway.

And the white boards on the wall behind it are the *original* 102 year old siding we saved from the exterior of the house.

The entryway still isn't complete. But it's finally looking like a house! 💡🏡

We've been looking forward to this day since we first discovered the original hardwood floors were still under the vinyl and carpet - not just in the hall but in the entire house.

Now we're looking forward to some Risky Business dance montages in this hallway.

For those who are interested and have the time:
Here's Taylor doing a walkthrough of the house from January of last year (2025) explaining what we had done so far and what the plans moving forward were.

This was only about 2 months into the project, and only one month since we had moved the house to the property from in town.

We have a ton of footage over the last 18+ months that we've never shared, so as we're getting closer to being finished we'll finally post some content of what we've actually been doing this past year and a half. 🫠

The first step in restoring the floors has begun!

Over 18 months ago, we held our breath and crossed our fingers as we went room by room ripping up orange carpet, old linoleum, plywood, and even a layer of newer pine flooring, hoping to find original hardwoods underneath that could be saved.

And sure enough, in every room, that's exactly what we found. 😁

Finally, this Monday, the crew comes in to sand, stain, and seal these 102-year-old original floors to bring them back to life.
