What an incredible Meet the Artisans Day!

From the moment the doors opened, there was an excitement in the museum that could be felt in every room. People visited, laughed, lingered, asked questions, admired the beautiful work, and genuinely enjoyed getting to know the talented people

Meet the Artisans days are, without question, some of our very favorite days. There is simply something special about bringing people together with the makers whose talent, stories, and dedication help make this place feel so alive.

We are deeply grateful for every artisan who shared the day with us and for every person who came through our doors. You filled the museum with conversation, creativity, and connection. Thank you.

Our September Book of the Month is-
Women, Resilient Women, a collection of poems by Pat Durmon.

Through poetry, this beautiful collection honors the strength, courage, and resilience found in the lives of women. Stop by the Calico Rock Museum and spend a little time with this month’s selection.

Twodogs Doyle has recently restocked his collection in the Artisan Gift Shop!

A self-taught artist, Twodogs creates work that reflects a deep connection to the natural world. From brilliant skies and quiet mountain streams to wildlife and meaningful imagery, each piece seems to carry a story of its own.

His collection includes original paintings, smaller framed works, hand-painted magnets and a variety of handcrafted creations in wood, clay and other natural materials-all filled with the detail and unmistakable spirit of his art.

Come spend a little time exploring his collection and discover the piece that speaks to you.

Here in the Artisan Gift Shop, that feeling lives in the beautiful work of local artists and artisans. Whether you have lived here all your life, returned for a visit, or are simply passing through… we hope you catch a little of the feeling of home that lives here and find something special to carry a piece of Calico Rock with you when you go.
