It’s faux florals season 🍂

Ordinarily I am team real, but from September-December I take the faux route. I am not very good at mixing them together, so I keep it simple- which is more my style anyway.

Because I waited until the last day of August to purchase, I wasn’t sure what I would actually find, but surprisingly, I had decent luck- in a real store no less. For once I didn’t have to come home disappointed and having to buy online.

I really love these rust hydrangeas and since I can’t seem to keep real ones alive, I’m looking forward to enjoying these for the next two months.

If anyone tells you pillow combos are easy don’t believe them.

I’m on PTO this week and other than a mammogram I had no plans for today so I decided to start playing with the Fall pillow combo for the loft. As per ush, I’m trying to use what I have. Two hours later and I’m happy with just this little corner. I also played around with the coffee table decor a bit. It’s not Fall, but it’s a little bit late Summer. I’m not quite ready to banish this cute little plant to a corner of the bathroom to make room for faux hydrangeas. Heck I don’t even have the faux hydrangeas yet.

Not too much home decor happening around here lately and there’s been almost no time for content making but I miss posting and engaging with all of you! I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying the last month of Summer! I’ve been enjoying seeing Fall popping up in my feed. August is too busy with birthdays for me to even consider Fall decor, so for now I’m just content to be inspired by all of you! I am hoping to buy some dried or faux hydrangeas though so if you have some you love, feel free to send me the link!

My friend Rocio, Rocio Estrada said it’s okay to post a single photo again, so I snapped one on my way out the door this morning. I am just a little bit in love with how the light comes in to this north facing kitchen during the Summer months. Plus the hood still has me pinching myself.
