Joyful Playroom The Joyful Playroom offers creative play adventures for kids. We use stories to inspire our artistic adventures.

Adventures include some of the following arts and crafts: Watercolor/tempera painting, wax crayon drawing, peg dolls, and natural soap making.

The crafters had a blast making Christmas cards, listening to Christmas music and eating popcorn!

In our last class we made lanterns with hand knitted ropes to help hold the light during the winter! We also sang songs about light. Our lantern walk had to be postponed because of the rain but we will be going on one this week. The darkness can feel so challenging but spending time together together and doing things we love remind us the light is still here. Next week we will be making Christmas window stars and starting on our little angels. Join us!

Storytime Adventures Through Art held class this week! We had so much fun reading Leaf Jumpers and Summer Green to Autumn Gold and creating leaf paintings with watercolor. We learned about how and why the leaves change their colors!

Hi! Thank you for checking out my Joyful Playroom page! I am starting afterschool art classes for ages 6 to 10 on Prune Hill. We will use stories to inspire our artistic adventures and each class will include some movement and music. Our arts and crafts are Waldorf and Montessori based and we use primarily natural materials such as wax crayons, watercolor, wool, wood, yarn, beeswax, and natural soap and candle bases. The groups will be small, with 2 to 5 kids, and I will start classes when I have 2 kids signed up. Right now I just have my page and Google business listing so you can reach me here or through the email or phone number on the flyer. Let me know if you are interested and please share with others!
