🌊 Storm on the Shore — A Memory That Found Me Again 🌊

Every now and then, a painting from years ago finds its way back across my path. This week I saw a photo of an ocean‑storm piece I created long ago — a wild, windswept beach with waves rising and the sky full of movement. It’s been in its forever home for several years now, but seeing that picture stirred something in me.

I found myself imagining how the owners experience it when they pause and look at it…
the sound of the wind in their minds,
the crash of the waves,
the feeling of standing on the edge of something powerful and beautiful all at once.

So I put together this little video — not of the painting itself, but of the feeling I imagine it gives them. The way the storm breathes. The way the ocean speaks. The way art can carry us somewhere else for just a moment.

It blessed me to revisit it, and I hope it blesses you too. đź’™

Friends, I’d love your help with something special.
As many of you know, my heart behind painting is to bring peace, comfort, and a little bit of beauty into the places where people need it most.

If you have one of my paintings — or if you’ve ever stood in front of one and felt something stir in your heart — would you share your experience?

✨ How did it make you feel?
✨ What did it remind you of?
✨ Did it bring comfort, peace, or a memory?
✨ Has it encouraged you in any way?

Your testimony might bless someone else who needs that same encouragement today.
Thank you for taking a moment to share — it means more than you know. 💛

When Kevin and I married, he was already a lifelong full‑time artist — the mural guy. Bald head, painter’s cap, long white beard, and a paintbrush tucked behind his ear like it was part of him. He could take a blank wall and turn it into a whole world. Meanwhile, I crunched numbers all day and painted for fun sometimes.

He believed in my talent long before I believed in myself. He nudged and encouraged me to start selling my work, and we dreamed of building something together — he worked on his giant murals and I painted oil paintings, and we dreamed of a future.
Our retirement dream was to open an art gallery where we could both sell canvas work, crafts, and create a space for other artists to shine too. A place full of color, creativity, and community.

When he passed, everything felt impossible. I wasn’t known. I was “the staff accountant who paints,” and sales dropped. Grief made creating feel impossible because I was painting a canvas while my heart was somewhere else. But I didn’t quit. I couldn’t — because this was our dream.

And now… people are beginning to notice my work, appreciate it, and support it. I can almost hear Kevin saying, “Told you so,” probably while adjusting that painter cap and grinning under that long beard.

To everyone who encouraged me when I was at my lowest — thank you. Your kindness helped me keep going when my heart felt too heavy to lift a brush.

And to anyone out there trying to keep moving after life has knocked you sideways: keep going. Even tiny steps count. Even wobbly steps count. Even “I’m crying but I’m still trying” steps count.

Dreams don’t disappear just because the journey gets hard. Sometimes they just need someone brave enough to keep walking. 💛🎨

Have you ever noticed how easy it is for creativity to become the thing that only happens after everything else gets done? After the laundry. After the errands. After the responsibilities. After everyone else’s needs are met. And yet somehow… everything else is never fully done.

When you buy from me, you’re not just picking up a painting.
You’re choosing something I made with my own two hands, in the quiet, in the in‑between moments, with prayer in my heart and paint under my nails.

You’re helping me keep doing what I love — capturing the little things that matter… old trucks, country roads, barns that have seen better days, the pets we adore, the places that feel like home.
You’re helping me keep beauty alive right here in our small towns.

When you buy from me, you’re saying, “I see what you’re doing, and it matters.”
And I don’t take that lightly. I feel it every single time.

So thank you — truly.
For supporting my art, my heart, and this calling Abba Father put in me.
It means more than I can ever say.
