Some color palettes just fit so well with the vibes, season, and venue and this one will certainly live rent free in my head for a long time.

Check out photo 6 to see hand thrown ikebana dishes by my friend .co! Not only were they perfect for the design, she also inspired me to get into ceramics myself so down the line I can offer unique handmade vessels for my clients.

My friends and hosted an incredible gathering of wedding vendors and creatives last month, and I was asked to design the flowers. Sexy! fruity! moody! All things I love.

✨ Cauldron in Chroma ✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was SO excited when reached out about having a feature installation for their annual Blossom Reverie Fair in Ticonderoga, NY! The theme this year was rainbows and magic, so I created this floraly firey cauldron with magical whisps reaching out.

This design was made with 1,500 stems of silk flowers, reaches 8.5ft tall, and will be up in the town center for 8 weeks!

While I was installing, an older woman came up to me and said ‘this is the prettiest thing our lil town has seen in years’ which made my heart feel like it was going to burst. 🥹🥹 Public installations continue to be my favorite work I do because of what a joy it brings to every day people. ❤️

Florals from the market in Nice + carrots and peaches from Marche Forville in Cannes + wild blooms foraged from the countryside (...this might have resulted in some killer poison ivy on my hands, but I regret nothing).

This tablescape is my Ode to The South of France: loose, abundant, and full of texture, color, and personality. I wanted it to feel like a French garden had spilled onto the table. Thank you to my friend for giving me a book of French floral design before I left on my trip last year. It was so fun to expand my style!

Happy Trans Day of Visibility!! Here is me being visible in all my transness! 🏳️‍⚧️
Like a hydrangea that changes color with the ph of the soil, my gender tends to bounce around based on context, season, and mood. For this reason I identify as nonbinary, and generally have a hard time connecting with both/either man or woman and feel like some nebulous in-between thing most of the time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you have trans people in your life, tell them you love them today. Many of us have gotten so tired sharing all the constant bad news about losing trans rights and access to healthcare, but I assure you it’s happening. For example, if I lived in Kansas, my driver’s license would be currently rendered invalid because it does not match the s*x I was assigned at birth. 😰

That’s the world we’re living in, so if you support the trans community, shout it from the rooftops!! ✨💕

Schedule update! 📅
💐Books are now open for 2027 full service weddings ($6.5k+ budget)!!
🌷 2026 books for full service weddings are mostly closed at this point, although I do have some availability in July.
🌹Althea A La Carte’s calendar is updated on my website through the end of 2026! My A La Carte offering is great for elopements + micro weddings. You can get everything you need - personals, centerpieces, and even arch decor!
