📣 One of a Kind. Never Repeated.

These handcrafted bonsai and miniature landscape arrangements are now 20% OFF — and this is likely the only time you’ll ever see them at these prices.

Every piece was individually designed using carefully selected plants, stone, wood, and natural elements. No mass production. No duplicates. When they’re gone, they’re gone.

At 20% off, you’re not just buying a plant — you’re taking home a living piece of art.

🌿 Perfect for:
• Coffee tables & entryways
• Office desks & reception areas
• Covered patios & porches
• Shaded decks & outdoor seating spaces
• Sunrooms and bright indoor spaces

☀️ Placement Tips:

* The conifer/juniper-style landscapes do best outdoors or in a bright, cool sunroom.
* The tropical and fern arrangements thrive in bright indirect light indoors or on covered patios.
* Avoid dark corners and hot afternoon sun through windows.

If you’ve admired these all season, now is the time. Once this collection sells, there won’t be another opportunity to own these pieces at these prices.

🌱 20% OFF — while they last.

🌿 Where are my hosta collectors at?! 🌿

You know who you are…

The people who don’t just plant hostas—they collect them.

We’ve got some fun miniature varieties in stock right now, including names like Pandora’s Box, Sun Mouse, School Mouse, and Mini Skirt. Small enough to tuck into fairy gardens, shade containers, rock gardens, or that special spot where only the hosta nerds will appreciate them. 😉

Because sometimes the best hostas aren’t the biggest ones… they’re the tiny treasures that make visitors stop and ask:

“Wait… that’s a hosta?”

How many hostas are in your collection? And more importantly… what’s your favorite variety? 👇🌿

🌱 TIP TUESDAY 🌱

Can you add kitchen scraps directly to the garden?

Sometimes yes… but not always.

☕ Coffee grounds are one of the few household items that can usually be added directly to garden beds in moderation.

However, many common kitchen scraps are better off being composted first:

🍌 Banana peels
🥚 Eggshells
🥬 Vegetable scraps
🍎 Fruit peels and cores
🍂 Leaves and grass clippings
🫖 Tea leaves and tea bags (if biodegradable)

Why compost first?

Fresh organic matter takes time to break down and can temporarily tie up nutrients, attract pests, create odors, or even encourage unwanted fungi. Composting allows these materials to decompose into a rich, soil-building amendment that’s easier for plants to use.

When is it okay to add fresh material directly?

🍂 Fall is the best time.

Chopping leaves, plant debris, and certain kitchen scraps into garden beds in autumn gives them all winter to break down before spring planting.

During the growing season, compost is usually the better choice.

What’s the strangest thing you’ve successfully composted or added to your garden? Let us know below! 👇🌱

Well… after being on the phone for a few hours this morning ….we learned our POS system officially decided to call it quits. Pretty sure the recent storm had something to do with it. 🥴⛈️⛈️⛈️

What started as a simple technology issue has turned into a trip for replacement equipment, and unfortunately we won’t be able to reopen today.

Heartland Horticulture will be closed for the remainder of the day and will reopen tomorrow.

The plants are still beautiful. The technology? Not so much. 😅

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We’ll see everyone tomorrow!

Ps…. If you need something picked up in Lincoln let me know! 🌻
