As we reopen this spring we want to thank our makers, our artists, and our customers.
Our shop’s mission statement is really important to me as a shop owner and one I often refer back in an uncertain economy. Jessie Tobias Design represents the refined qualities of Maine craftsmanship, curates elegance and artistry by blending tradition and innovation, and supports the rich and beautiful stories of the mid-coast’s creative economy.
We our so proud we can showcase so many talented makers and artists such as and her beautiful vase.

We’re hiring for our shop! We are looking for someone to cover 2-3 days per week in the shop. Must be available at least one weekend per month.

We need someone computer savvy with strong people skills who is flexible and willing to jump in wherever needed. An interest in our local maker community is also extremely important.

The right person will also possess a strong skill set in one or more of the following:

Social Media
Book Keeping
Website/Marketing Management
Office Management

We get these questions all of the time:

What if I can’t stop thinking about a painting, necklace, vase, pillow, etc that I saw in your shop, need it in my life and I don’t live nearby?

I seem to only be able to make it to Camden when you are closed. How else can I shop with you?

What if I like a certain makers style but I’m not ready to buy what you currently have in the shop?

Can you ship a gift to my friend for me?

Here are some answers for ways to shop with us even if you live elsewhere or are just away from Camden for a bit, and want to support our little shop and our fantastic makers:

Direct message us here on Insta if you see something from a story or post and need to have it (or just want more info 😊)

You can take photos of things you like when you are in the shop, then email us photos to see if we still have it. We can email you an invoice and ship it your way.

We can send you photos of what we currently have in the shop from your favorite makers. You can also ask to be added to a list to be informed whenever we receive new pieces from a specific maker.

We do private shopping sessions either in person or FaceTime outside of our normal business hours.

If you order something from us through any of our channels please let us know if it’s a gift and we will wrap it for you and include a little note.

Did you know that almost all of our furniture in the shop is available for sale right off of the floor? We currently carry four Maine furniture makers and the sustainable, USA made . It’s so nice in this age of a million options online to be able to see, feel, sit and admire amazing craftsmanship. Not to mention support local makers. If you need a different size, wood or fabric, we do custom orders all of the time. Or maybe the piece you’ve been looking for is right here and you can drive away with it today.
