Sorry Ive been mia for the last month. Ive had medical issues. My blood pressure is to high or two low causing me to black out when I stand. I have insomnia and going days without sleeping. So If Im not online for a bit thats why. I know my sign shipments are way slow now but I have no energy and Its not Like I am wanting to run a 400 degree press in this condition. Can we normalize NOT expecting discounts from small businesses?

You wouldn’t walk into Walmart and ask for 30% off.

You wouldn’t ask Target if they’d throw in a free shirt because you’re buying two.

But somehow…

People have no problem asking a small business owner:

“What’s your best price?”
“Can you do it cheaper?”
“I know your shirts are $20… but I only have $12.”

Here’s the thing…

When you ask a small business to lower their price, you’re usually asking one person to make less money for their time.

You’re not negotiating with a corporation.

You’re negotiating with someone’s grocery money.
Someone’s mortgage.
Someone’s kid’s sports fees.
Someone who’s probably already working another full-time job.

If my prices don’t fit your budget, that’s okay.

Not every business is for every customer.

But asking a small business to make less so you can save more shouldn’t be normal.

Also asking someone to take less so your profit margin is higher is just a crappy thing to do.
