Hi you all. I have been busy relearning the ropes of blogging. This is my first post in a while. If you are new to crafting, or just thinking about starting, this post is for you.

Crafting is a delightful pastime that empowers you to unlock your imagination and bring forth something exquisite and one-of-a-kind.

Here in Central Kentucky, Winter is in full force. We have snow on the ground and below-freezing temperatures. And if you know anything about Kentucky weather it will not shock you to learn that next week it's supposed to be back in the 50's. Craft shows ended just before Christmas, and now I am trying to decide if it is worth trying to do multiple shows this year. Last year I started out with the dream of setting up at more shows. I thought that if I did I would be able to earn enough to actually take my crafting from a hobby to a real business. I did Five shows in total. at the end of the year, I found that I had broken even at best. Looking back, I see mistakes that I made along the way. My biggest mistake was that I spent too much on supplies, a lot of which I ended up not even using. Another was that I took part in small, new shows that had little to no foot traffic.
Where do I go from here? Honestly, I am not sure. My husband wants me to stick to local shows only. I love the craft shows at Glendale Kentucky. If I don't set up for that show, I will miss it.
I am starting work on my blog again. I also hope to be able to start doing live DIY videos and to put my machines to use making custom orders. I can create tumblers, coffee mugs, tee shirts, door hangers, and more. If you have an idea about an item you would like to have made, message me.
THanks for stopping by.

Another year has come and gone. With it was 5 craft shows. You would think that more craft shows would equal more revenue, sadly not so. Two of the craft shows were benefit shows. I knew going into them that they won't have very little foot traffic, but they were both for great causes. I made my booth fee back on both, and broke even. Literally that was the story of the year: at the end of the craft shows I had almost exactly the same amount of money in my tiny craft account that I had started with. But, that's okay. I love the shows. It gives me a chance to make new friends and meet up with friends I have made along the way. Besides the craft shows I traveled to Texas twice. In May I flew down to help my daughter with her show, and of course to spend time with her family. The second trip was at the first of December to help move our son home. He finished his master's degree and is now busy looking for work. The year brought a lot of changes, both good and sad. What is next? Well, I have already started creating designs for this year's shows. But, I haven't committed to any shows as of yet. I have decided that I am not making wreaths to sell in my booths. Those will be made by commission only. I am planning to focus more on paintings, burlap hangers, wooden door hangers, small arrangements, and of course ornaments for the winter shows. I will try to update you all as I book shows, and make plans. I hope that each of you had a blessed and happy New Year.

I hadn't used stencils in forever. Yesterday I had them out messing with the stencils paste. I did a couple of items and thought, I just as well use them to make fast "filler items " for the show this weekend. Then, I decided to go to a little local boutique called "Glory and May". I was beyond shocked to look over and see a booth with beautiful items that were entirely done of stencils. I had been trying to decide on what direction to take my booth. I knew that that was going to involve using my cricket, and sublimation machines more. After seeing Donna's beautiful creations, I decided to go ahead and put the items in my booth that I had stenciled. Hers were so beautiful, they rather inspired me. So we'll give them another try alongside of the hand painted original items that I usually carry.
