Here in Central Kentucky, Winter is in full force. We have snow on the ground and below-freezing temperatures. And if you know anything about Kentucky weather it will not shock you to learn that next week it's supposed to be back in the 50's. Craft shows ended just before Christmas, and now I am trying to decide if it is worth trying to do multiple shows this year. Last year I started out with the dream of setting up at more shows. I thought that if I did I would be able to earn enough to actually take my crafting from a hobby to a real business. I did Five shows in total. at the end of the year, I found that I had broken even at best. Looking back, I see mistakes that I made along the way. My biggest mistake was that I spent too much on supplies, a lot of which I ended up not even using. Another was that I took part in small, new shows that had little to no foot traffic.
Where do I go from here? Honestly, I am not sure. My husband wants me to stick to local shows only. I love the craft shows at Glendale Kentucky. If I don't set up for that show, I will miss it.
I am starting work on my blog again. I also hope to be able to start doing live DIY videos and to put my machines to use making custom orders. I can create tumblers, coffee mugs, tee shirts, door hangers, and more. If you have an idea about an item you would like to have made, message me.
THanks for stopping by.
