First custom order of the season is in the works! 🎓🌸

These graduation cap jars, provided by the client, are just the cutest.

While checking the flower beds for storm damage, this vibrant orange ranunculus was practically demanding to be cut and brought inside. Sometimes a flower is just too beautiful to leave in the garden!

Check back to see these graduation centerpieces come to life with locally grown flowers. 🌿🧡

The crows are winning. The white flag is going up.

Yesterday I put up wind chimes and thought I had finally cracked the code. They kept their distance all day. No crow activity in the garden, just the occasional caw from afar.

Tonight? Different story. They’re mocking me as I walk into the garden. Just listen to this madness.

They’re back. Full force. Hanging out in the corn and sunflower bed… RIGHT NEXT TO THE PINWHEEL. Apparently my scare tactics are more decorative than effective.

At this point, I think my next strategy is to befriend them and officially welcome them to the farm. Maybe if I stop fighting them, they’ll stop treating my garden like an all-you-can-eat buffet.

Time to shift from crow deterrent research to crow friendship research. Wish me luck. 🌽🌻

Of all the things I thought I’d be battling this summer, crows were definitely not on the list. 🐦‍⬛

They’ve declared war on my corn and sunflower beds. Every morning I wake up, and somehow there are more of them. Then I learned something that is equal parts fascinating and creepy: crows can remember individual human faces for years. Not only that, but they teach other crows who you are and what your routines are after they’ve observed you.

Which explains why their numbers seem to have multiplied since last Thursday.

To make matters even more interesting, they’re a federally protected species, so you can’t exactly tell them to pack up and leave.

Fast forward to today—my first official day of summer—and I spent a solid 30 minutes researching how to outsmart a bird. The verdict? Crows are incredibly intelligent, and the only way to win is to be smarter than they are. Experts recommend eliminating food sources and perch spots (not exactly possible here), along with using a combination of sounds and shiny objects to keep them guessing and then move the objects every 2-3 days!

So, the game is on.

Today I tried disguising myself with my hair down and a baseball hat. Really don’t need any bad vibes when they decide I’m foe not friend. Pinwheels have been deployed, and two wind chimes arrive tomorrow.

I see you, crows. Let’s play.

To be continued…

Worker Bee Wednesday looks a little different this week 🐝

We wanted to give the girls some time to get acclimated to their new super (hive box), so we let them do their thing this week. Meanwhile, our son’s hockey season finally came to an end and he’s officially home for the summer. First thing we did after unpacking? Introduce him to the bees, of course.

In true Dominick fashion, he immediately wanted to hold a bee 😂 And after plenty of convincing, Johnny finally agreed to meet them too. Let’s just say bees haven’t exactly been his favorite in the past, so he opted for the full bee suit for protection.

Check back next week because we’re hoping the girls have some honey to show us 🍯

When Mom makes you help in the garden… you can totally tell Johnny wants to be anywhere but here 😂
But god love him for helping me anyway!

Three beds left to compost and till and we’re finally almost there! The flower farm prep is no joke, but seeing it all come together makes every sore muscle worth it. 🌻.

💛For Christmas this year, my sister, brother, Mom, and Dad surprised me with the most thoughtful gift. Each one of them wrote me a love letter about this garden business journey I’ve started. I was absolutely sobbing at Christmas dinner as I read every single one.

It was so unexpected, but something I didn’t even realize how badly I needed to hear. My love language is acts of service, but words of affirmation are a very close second, and these words meant everything to me.

Along with the letters, they gifted me the most gorgeous charcuterie boards and wine glasses with our new logo on them. They are perfect, and I cannot wait to use them at all the events we have planned this summer. This gift truly feels like it’s just as much for all of you as it was for me.

Words of encouragement, thoughtfulness, and love go so much farther than you could ever imagine.

Thank you a hundred times over to my family for believing in me and for your continued support. I love you all 🧡💛🧡💛

After a very much needed social media break, we’re back 🌼
Don’t worry, we didn’t go anywhere we’ve been busy behind the scenes getting things ready for our 2026 season and can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on.

For now, enjoy a little throwback to some of last season’s flowers!

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours! 🍁
We spent yesterday hanging out with family and missing our sweet Dominick. (Only 2 more weeks before we get to hug him again) Feeling extra grateful for another year in the garden and for all of you who support this little flower farm of ours.
