Back in February of 1980, Freda and Ed Rutter were contacted about an estate for sale by an attorney who knew the couple had a passion for antiques. Freda and Ed purchased their first over-sized truck load of antiques for $300 to sell out of their home on Rockmill Road. When the Lithopolis Antique Mall opened a month later, they moved their inventory there and stayed for many years. During the sam
e time period, they were also part of a shop in Westerville. They moved to this current address in 2000, where they eventually tore down an old shed and built the current barn that houses the shop. They opened Buggy Seat Antiques on site about eight years ago.
