We woke up to some thanksgiving magic today 🪄- our broody mama hatched her very own first egg all by herself.

This evening, as we have our ancestral feast, we are thoughtful and contemplative:

We are thankful for Mother Nature. We are thankful for the fire in the sky that burns orange and gives life. Our hearts are heavy with thoughts about our ancestors and their choices many years ago.

Most of all, we are thankful for life, magic, and candlelight. Warm and cozy thanksgiving blessings to all.

Meet our newest working member…a true wooly beast, indeed! He’s a Bulgarian sheepdog and will be our newest livestock guardian to protect the flock. We lost our last flock to an unknown predator a few months back, but that won’t happen again! Name ideas? His dad is in the second picture for reference. He’ll be a bit bigger, darker coloring, and just as fluffy.
