One of the most vibrant seasonings in our spring collection can attribute its big flavor to the beautiful, organic ingredients that we source from Lee’s One Fortune Farm in Morganton. (Swipe to see which one 👀)
Known for their beautiful, unique produce found at farmers markets and on the menus of some of Asheville’s best restaurants, Lee’s is part of a long tradition of Hmong farming families who brought extraordinary agricultural knowledge and culinary traditions with them after immigrating to this region following the Vietnam War.
Our Spicy Coconut Sea Salt was inspired by the layered flavors of Asian coconut curries and built around ingredients sourced from Lee’s, including hot peppers and fragrant shiso. Fermented white peppercorn, ginger, and paprika bring warmth and heat while thai basil, cilantro, lemongrass, and green mango create a bright, citrusy finish that keeps you coming back for another bite.
Spicy Coconut is especially delicious on noodle bowls, soups, pan fried tofu, shrimp, or anywhere you want a little heat and a lot of personality.
We'll be sharing more about the evolution of this blend and how to use it this week!
