Wanted to share a quick plein air painting of some Pink Lady Slippers, some of the most magical Spring ephemerals in Appalachia! AND! We found Yellow Lady Slippers for the first time, after about a decade of searching. I tell you I shrieked with joy when I spotted one!

I’m out at Ten Acre Garden in Canton for their Spring Berries and Blooms Festival today (Sunday) from 12-6pm.
Come pick some strawberries, eat some fresh pizza, and peruse a bunch of great art and crafts.

Friday May 15, 5-9pm, Downtown After 5 at Pack Square Park. Live music, food trucks, vendors!

I’ve wanted to add some terre verte/green earth pigments to my lineup for some time, so I’m very pleased to finally offer this lovely trio of paints.
They’ll be available on my website soon (link in bio), but in the meantime I’ll have them with me at Blue Ridge Artisan Market’s ‘From the Earth Festival’ this Saturday (April 25) from 11-6pm at Lennox Station in Hendersonville. The entire Earth Day festival is going to be amazing (see the slides for more info), so come check it out!
