This year, our Christmas tree is inspired by the effortless elegance of French interiors—understated, layered, and timeless. Soft neutrals, antique-inspired ornaments, warm metallics, and natural textures come together to create a tree that feels curated rather than overdone.

Now I just need to find time to finish my Christmas shopping! 😅

It’s Shop Local Day, and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than by sharing a recent project where we did exactly that!

This repeat client asked us to reimagine their dining room—to reflect their personality, comfortably seat 8–10 guests, and incorporate a beautiful large buffet for storage and serving.

Seashal collaborated with talented local craftspeople to bring this space to life, resulting in a truly custom and meaningful design. Here are just a few of the locally sourced and custom designed details:

• Custom chairs handmade in Ohio
• Dining table handcrafted in Pittsburgh
• Art commissioned from a Pittsburgh artist
• Buffet built by artisans in West Virginia
• Local Pittsburgh experts completed the countertops, wallpaper installation, and paint
• Flower arrangements made by a Pittsburgh florist
• And the finishing touch—vintage family heirloom china filled with history and heart

We love supporting local makers and celebrating craftsmanship close to home—and we love when our clients feel just as passionate about it!

On this Thanksgiving eve, I'd like to say how grateful I am for Chelsea! Chelsea is our Logistics Manager and has been with us for 3.5 years. Chelsea spent the first portion of her career working in the corporate world with marketing/advertising, product launches and event planning. Chelsea works with our vendors, manufacturers and contractors to ensure that the business runs smoothly and efficiently. She develops 3D drawings of client spaces to help them envision my designs and manages the logistics involved in tracking shipments, inventory, project management and furniture installations. Outside of work you'll find Chelsea shuttling her 3 teenagers to all of their sporting activities, volunteering at school and being an active member of our community.

Fun fact, years ago Chelsea and I volunteered for 5 years founding and building a local farmers market to help support local farmers/artisans and connect the community. We worked so well together building that small business that I had to have her join mine!

Meet our newest team member, Qin!

Qin joins Interiors by Seashal as a Junior Interior Designer. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design with a Minor in Studio Art from Liberty University. Previously, Qin was also an intern with Interior by Seashal! With strong technical skills in industry design software, Qin helps bring precision, clarity, and visual detail to each project. She'll also be assisting with furniture installations and various other design studio tasks.

She is passionate about blending creativity, functionality, and thoughtful design to shape beautiful spaces that truly serve the people who live in them.

Outside the studio, Qin enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping and exploring new places through travel.
