Seems that with the rain, snow and cold weather, I tend to get productive. I have lots of wood scraps laying around the shop that I can't just throw out. My son Ben gave me a book on wood working and I came across a story on using scraps to make coasters. I made two sizes, one for cups and glasses and the larger for mugs and tankers. I burned initials in them so that people can have them customized and the back has a felt backing to protect surfaces. Feedback always appreviated

Been awhile since I have posted anything new, so I now have this piece to add. This is made from pallett pieces left over from other projects. It is 24 inches in diameter with wood burned letter. Inspired from a request from Mare to place in her new work office.

Most of my projects or items I make from scratch or modify/upgrade in some way. I also like to find items on line/antique stores etc and restore/refurbish for resale. I do get numerous requests that clients have an item to restore.
This one was unique for me as a client came with a doll house that was in really sad shape. The pictures are after almost two weeks of restoration. Hope you can see the details.

Here is one of my latest items. It's a log cabin bird feeder ready to hang outside. The inside is large enough for a bird or two to shelter during one of those cold winter nights we're about to get. We love watching the birds from our morning room!

Here is a unique item I just completed. It is a computer mouse pad made of 1" pine, stained to your choice, almost 200 pennies covered with 1/4" glaze coat. Measures 12" x 9". Request other sizes and other coins- nickel, dime, quarter.

Here's something I haven't made for awhile-- a clock. All of my other clocks, pocket watches, and weather instruments have had a classic look just as if right out of a box. This piece is along the line
of my rural/rustic look I've used for my other recent pieces. I used old barn wood with the original colors- no painting or staining followed by multiple coats of shellac. The numerals are burned into the wood. Before I list it for sale through my Etsy shop, let me know what you think. Thanks

Here is an item I just completed for my shop assistant and BFFF, Max. When you get a new puppy, you tend to use a create for training purposes. Soon you start relaxing the rules, so for the last 2-3 months he sleeps on the bed or floor. I hate seeing him on the carpeting- not real comfortable. So I made him his own bed. We need to get some pillows for him. He now has a choice of our bed or his bed. I hope he likes it! Love you,Max!

Here's what I've been working on lately. It is a very old trunck that I am refinishing. Made of interior red cedar. It is very old and some pieces just fell apart while others came apart in fibers when sanded rather than dust. Checking now for any missed areas and getting ready to stain. Pics when completed.

Just finished the first set of baseball bat holders. Each circle is 5" wide and the left side holds the bat barrel and the right side holds the bat handle. Or just flip to display the other way. Great for kids of all ages to hold their favorite bat or trophy bat. Just space the holders apart to hold any bat. I think I'll list a set for 29.95.
