Life doesn't always happen like we hope for but things have a way of working out. Vehicle issues stranded us on the side of I20 in Texas heat with my parents is not a great way to start our trip headed to the airport. We made our flight by the skin of our teeth to shortly discover we encountered a fuel leak during our flight. Landlocked, we departed the next day. We made the best of things with quite the story to tell.

Despite the heat, mom accompanied me to refresh our spot at East Texas Pickin's which is always a great way of keeping her active and chatty. Love meeting new people and catching up with special friends. Thank y'all for your support!

Not every project journey is the same. This well-built piece needed quite a bit of restorative work. Trashed the original veneer to find a more natural look which has grown on me and my husband now wants to keep it!
