Remember the sweet refreshing taste of a cold glass of lemonade, on a Hot Summer Day? After swinging on the tire swing, hanging from the old oak tree in your Granny’s front yard. She comes to screen door and hollers “Lemonade’s Ready”. You go running up to the front porch, to the tray that holds her Mother’s Milk-glass Pitcher full of the sweet goodness you have been looking forward to all day??? She pours it into a Milk-glass tumbler, the one you always request to drink from because it holds dear memories of Summers past. That first sip is always the best! Then you sit down while Granny is breaking beans for tonight’s supper and she tells you stories about when she was a little girl.
