Hi, my name is Kristina, and I'm the founder of Kristina Anne Designs. We are a luxury interior design studio that specializes in serving clients who feel underwhelmed by their current kitchen design and functionality. Our clients dream of having a luxurious kitchen filled with intricate details and a thoughtfully planned layout. What truly sets us apart from other studios is our unwavering focus on kitchens. We use our own meticulously hand-crafted cabinetry in our projects, allowing us to create highly detailed, custom spaces that reflect the unique tastes of our clients. As a result, our clients receive kitchens that are not only elevated and luxurious but are also designed to stand the test of time, lasting for generations.

A little paint, a lot of pumpkins, and just the right amount of chaos! 🎃

I had so much fun running the pumpkin painting station at the Town of Cape Charles Fall Fest today! The weather was beautiful, it was great seeing so many familiar faces, and I loved seeing everyone’s creativity come through in their pumpkins. Here are a few of my favorites!

One of my favorite things about living in Cape Charles is getting to help bring events like these to life. You don’t find many places as welcoming and laid-back as our little town, and I feel lucky to call it home. 🧡

A lovely client, fun fabrics, and a cozy home in our favorite town. 🤍

A few sneak peeks at the custom window treatments we designed for our client in downtown Cape Charles.

Custom trims, playful fringes, beautiful textures, layered fabrics, and the cutest café-style plantation shutter in the bathroom.

Throughout the home, we created custom Roman shades, draperies, and a custom valance designed around each room’s needs.

The goal? Privacy, light control, and beautiful design. Because you shouldn’t have to choose between privacy and natural light, and your window treatments should enhance your home, not take away from it.

New on the blog! I’m taking you a little deeper into this Bay Creek project in Cape Charles, with a closer look at the design details and a peek behind the scenes of our photoshoot.

You’ve seen this living room here before, but there’s always more to the story than the finished photos. In the blog, I’m sharing how we took a new construction home and made it feel much more personal and collected, from the furniture layout and custom fireplace wall to the layers of furnishings, art, accessories, and fresh florals.

I’m also sharing a bit about our styling process, which involves bringing lots of options into the house and spreading them across every available surface as we work. We move things around, edit, add, take away, and see what feels right in the actual space and lighting. It’s a bit of a process, but it’s one of my favorite parts.

The goal for this home was a relaxed coastal feel that felt right for Cape Charles without ever feeling too “beach house.”

A few whirlwind days in New Orleans with an incredible group of women.

I was incredibly honored to be invited to NKBA’s Women 2 Women conference, bringing together a select group of kitchen and bath designers for several days centered around mentorship, connection, and friendship.

I came home with more than just new industry connections. I surprisingly learned a lot about myself.

One of my biggest takeaways was recognizing that the balance between femininity and business ownership isn’t about becoming less feminine to be taken seriously. It’s about recognizing femininity as a strength. There is power in empathy, intuition, creativity, collaboration, and the way we naturally connect with others. We don’t need to hide those qualities to make room for leadership. We can lead with them.

I’m so grateful for the lovely women I met, the conversations we shared, and the perspectives I’ll carry with me long after these few days have passed. It was inspiring, grounding, and a wonderful reminder of how much we can learn from one another.

And New Orleans… I’ll definitely be back. The food, the architecture, the history, the charm. And, of course, the antiquing. If you know me, you know that’s my weakness. 🏺

Until next time, NOLA. 🤍

The before & after of this living room fireplace deserved its own post. 👏🏻

This Bay Creek interior design project in Cape Charles, Virginia, is one of my favorite examples of what thoughtful interior design can do for a new construction home.

When we first started working with our clients, the living room was a blank builder-spec space with little architectural character, featuring only a basic electric fireplace set into the wall with a simple wood mantel. Our goal was to transform it into a warm, timeless, and comfortable living space.

We designed cabinetry, built-ins, and a new mantel to give the room the architectural presence it was missing. From there, we layered in custom furnishings, window treatments, accessories, and personal pieces to create a space that feels collected rather than brand new.

A blank spec home can be a beautiful starting point. The right design is what makes it feel like home.

From builder-grade to beautifully personal. ✨

One of our favorite transformations in Bay Creek, Cape Charles.

This home started as a builder-spec new construction, but our clients wanted something that felt collected, personal, and unmistakably theirs. So we got to work.

The living room received a custom fireplace design with built-ins, architectural shelving, and a new mantel, creating the kind of focal point that makes a room feel finished from the start.

From there, we layered in custom furnishings, tailored window treatments, new decor, and thoughtful styling throughout the home. Working with our team here in Cape Charles, every detail was selected to bring warmth, character, and personality to the home while keeping the overall look sophisticated and timeless.

Because sometimes a beautiful new house just needs a little more you.

This is what we love about interior design: taking a blank canvas and turning it into a home that feels like it has always belonged to the people who live there.

A little progress update! ✨

A fun surprise today! One of the contractors sent over these sneak peeks, and I couldn’t wait to share them before the professional photos this fall.

This Virginia Beach interior design project is a custom remodel featuring a redesigned kitchen, bar, mudroom, and laundry room, all thoughtfully created to support the everyday life of a busy family of five (plus their four-legged family member 🐾).

One of my favorite details is the rich, black walnut cabinetry that anchors the space. Paired with navy blue, it creates a timeless palette that feels warm, sophisticated, and inviting. The oversized navy kitchen island makes a statement, while the slate floor tile proves that blue can be just as powerful as a neutral.

Every space features custom cabinetry, warm brass details, and plenty of smart storage to make daily routines easier without sacrificing beauty. In the laundry room, we incorporated brighter colors to create a space that feels fresh and inviting.

I can’t wait to share the professional photos this fall!

Behind the scenes in Cape Charles, where coastal ease met collected antiques for a home that feels beautifully lived in.

For this professional photoshoot, we layered timeless pieces, soft coastal details, and the most incredible florals. The client loved the finished look so much, she decided to purchase nearly every piece we brought in for the styling. The best kind of compliment!

A huge thank you to Carrie for capturing it all so beautifully, and to Erika for bringing in the most stunning locally grown flowers right here on the shore. Her flower subscription is a lovely little way to bring that magic home. 😉

The Industrial Cottage supplied the perfect accessories, and working with their team is always a joy. They have such good finds that something always seems to come home with me!

Here are a few behind the scenes peeks. I can’t wait to share more from this Cape Charles interior design project soon!
