🍁 Peering through the lens of the wonderful Samantha Sheppard on a day of fall photography, capturing two recently finished projects. It’s a pleasure to work with this once Bldg Seed designer, now photographer and yoga teacher. 🍁

Bldg Seed Annual Ducky Day. Good times & thanks to our amazing team!

We managed to go with the flow while keeping our head above water, although I did get into hot water at one point. 🤣

Turning our focus back to Ten Peaks, and a closer look at the kit built heavy-timber barn structure used as living spaces and an amazingly open format garage/workshop/gym. This truly collaborative effort between the barn manufacturer and our architectural team led to a quick barn-raising after months of careful coordination.

Introducing Ten Peaks. A recently completed country residence amongst the sage and oak brush overlooking Carbondale and the Elk Mountains, this new home combines a pre-fabricated heavy timber barn with a custom-designed residence. This rural homestead has breathtaking views and room to breathe with south-facing living allowing outdoor living most of the year. More to come on this project as we hope to share interiors at a later date with credit to the homeowner/designer that steered this vision to reality.

Looking back at a beautiful Mtn Boho remodel up Castle Creek. This reno included a collaborative design process with an inspired owner, as well as a unique opportunity to incorporate custom designed furnishings. I can’t believe this was completed 5 years ago!
We are now looking forward to our next design project with this amazing team!

It’s a good feeling when a plan get’s approved!
Tuesday night we finally reached approval for a landmark housing development designed and catered to the needs of Basalt. Following the master plan guidance and responsive to the need for affordable and obtainable living for locals in the Roaring Fork Valley. Approvals include a total of 64 residential units at 50% deed-restricted affordable community-housing and resident-occupied and 20 more set-up to give locals a first chance to buy. Plus 12 hospitality river cabins designed to sit softly on the land and contribute to the tourism economy of Basalt.

Kudos to all involved
From the partners Colter Hawkes Smith Michael Forrest Ryan Chadwick
To the design team we worked with Connect One Design
With extra thanks to all the Town staff and elected officials supportive of this effort over the years.

We are all thrilled to take the next steps in seeing this vision come to life.
