Meadowbrooke Gourds, Inc. Meadowbrooke Gourds is the largest maker of hand crafted gourds in the world! Our farm lies at the roots of the Blue Mountain in central Pennsylvania.

Our team member highlight is Candace!

Candace began her career at Meadowbrooke Gourds, starting out in the fields with working on the farm crew. At the age of 15 years old, she began working with the crew; planting, pollinating, sorting, and bagging gourds which would lead her to where she is now. Candace started working in production as lead position for the washing department and grew into acquiring the title ‘Captain Candace’. For years now, she has taken lead role of the washing department, cleaning and washing hundreds of thousands of gourds.

When Candace isn’t working in the washing department, she spends most of her time with a very close-knit group of friends and spending time with her pets. Some of her favorite hobbies include camping and playing hacky sack.

We are still looking for a few more artisan vendors for our Summer Celebration, which will be held on July 11th from 8am-2pm.

Some vendors we are searching for are artisans that hand-craft pet treats/clothing, pottery, wood flowers, brooms, wood products, sea glass items, metal artwork and leather work but if you have something else that is unique and special, please reach out to Dori/Connie at [email protected] or call 717-776-6029 to receive an application.

Merry Christmas in July!🎅✨ Join us on July 21st at 6:00pm for a virtual Zoom class where we will walk you through painting, assembling and accessorizing this adorable 18" Sleepy Gourd Santa complete with an electric light! All supplies needed to craft the Santa gourd ship right to your door and if you can't make it live no worries, a recording will be sent on Wednesday so you can follow along whenever it is convenient for you!

Ticket sales will end June 19th so grab yours now! Supplies and the complete gourd kit will be shipped out the week of July 6th. You will receive a link to Zoom the day before the class with instructions on how to get into the classroom the night of the event.
