I just had to use this audio. Being the sole employee in a creatively ran business can be tricky sometimes…yet I’m still here.

I believe the plants and a mix of materials create depth of design here. My client totally trusted the creative process and allowed me to bring in accessories and play Tetris until we were both satisfied. Most of the items you see here are sourced from Shine Design Home. My absolute favorite spot for unique, textured accessories.

My client asked for a timeless formal dining room with some drama. Old and new pieces work together here for a refined finished space.

This project came together so effortlessly! The dark color drenching was out of their normal comfort zone, but they trusted the vision and are happy with how it turned out!

They do plan to add custom artwork from a family member eventually. There are so many projects that I’ve worked on that I never photograph due to waiting on a finishing detail, but I’ve promised myself to begin showing the spaces anyway.

My husband snapped this candid picture of me working this weekend and I think this moment in time deserves a permanent spot here. I’m so grateful to still have my design business after 4 kids. It allows me have a creative outlet outside of motherhood while still spending the majority of my time with my family. I’m so thankful for my clients and my family (mainly Derek) who supports me in keeping this dream alive.
