I’m honored to be joining as a 2026 What’s New, What’s Next Ambassador, especially in a year that marks 100 years of the New York Design Center.

There’s nothing quite like being surrounded by people who care deeply about design, craftsmanship, and where our industry is headed next, and I’m so looking forward to being part of the conversations, discoveries, and inspiration at 200 Lex this year.

Some design details have a way of changing how a room feels.

When it comes to designing a luxury kitchen, it’s all about balancing high-end function with elevated aesthetics.

Here are a few key elements I always consider to elevate the space:

• Counter-to-ceiling cabinets: Functionally, they are perfect for hiding everyday items you don’t want cluttering the countertops. Plus, they pull the entire room together, giving the cabinetry a custom, high-end furniture feel.

• Statement stone & countertops: The stone is such an important part of the overall look. I love incorporating details like a mitered edge on the countertops to add that extra layer of luxury.

• Focal points: The hood is always a major focal point in a luxury kitchen, complemented by classic fixtures like a beautifully finished faucet to tie the look together.

Our biggest styling tip:
You don't need more, you need ✨layers!✨

Here's our method for styling shelves:

1. Anchor first. Start with your largest pieces, then build around them.
2. Mix your materials. Wood, stone, glass, ceramic. Texture is what keeps a shelf from feeling flat.
3. Vary the height. Tall next to short keeps the eye moving instead of stopping.
4. Leave room to breathe. Empty space is part of the design, not a gap to fill.
5. Edit at the end. Step back, and if something feels off, take it away before you add more.

Color sets the tone for everything in the room. It's one of the first decisions we make and one of the most impactful!

For this design, we went bold, pairing a loud pattern against colorful cabinetry. It might sound like a risk, but when the balance is right, it comes together effortlessly and full of personality.
