The second that last meeting ended, I practically RAN to my kitchen to cut this soap. 😂🧼✨

I’ve been dying to cut into Sugar Plum Fairy all day! You guys helped me pick the color scheme, and I’ve been so excited to see how those swirls turned out.

And LOOK AT HER. 🥹💜🩷

There’s something so magical about finally seeing what’s inside a loaf, especially when my little corner of the internet helped dream it up.

Thanks for making pretty things with me. 🧚‍♀️✨

Does this take way too long? Yes. 😂

Is hand-stamping every bar of soap and adding a little gold eco glitter absolutely necessary to make good soap? Nope.

Am I going to keep doing it anyway? Obviously. ✨

Because I think the little details matter.

Every bar is made by hand, and those finishing touches are part of what makes handmade so special. It’s a little extra time, a little extra love, and a little bit of unnecessary magic. And I’m totally fine with that.

I want you to feel special when you use something I’ve made. Like someone actually put thought and care into making an ordinary part of your day a little more beautiful.

Because you deserve the fancy soap. Even on a random Tuesday.

This is your daily reminder to use the good soap. ✨

Real soap is a pretty simple thing. Oils + lye + a little chemistry = soap. It cleans without needing to be a bar made primarily from synthetic detergents, and handmade soap can keep all the lovely things we intentionally put into it, like beautiful oils, butters, clays, botanicals and honey.

But I also think there’s a benefit that’s harder to put on an ingredient label.

Someone made this.

They chose the colors. They mixed the scent. They poured the swirls. They cut every bar. And no two will ever be exactly the same.

It’s a tiny piece of functional art, and you’re SUPPOSED to use it.

You do not need to save the pretty soap for guests. You are the occasion. Put something beautiful next to your sink. Take the extra two seconds to smell it. Let an ordinary shower feel a little more special.

It’s such a small thing. But doing small, lovely things for yourself counts.

Use the good soap. 💜✨

Met the cutest little Muppet at the farmers market and apparently he has VERY strong opinions about handmade soap. 😂

Little paws up on Beatrice. Sniff inspection. Quality control complete. 🐾🧼

One of my favorite parts of doing markets is getting to meet all of you. Your dogs included. Especially your dogs. 😂💕

🍯 A little honey update from Beatrice!

We’ve nearly sold through all of the honey from our own hives this year, which is both amazing and a little bittersweet. Bees make what they make, and when it’s gone, it’s gone!

So rather than leave the honey shelf empty, we’re bringing in honey from another local beekeeper we know and trust: The Jensens

It’s really important to me that anything I carry in Beatrice is something I feel good about putting my name behind. We know the beekeepers at Big Rock Bees through the same local beekeeping classes and circles we’re part of, so we know how they keep their bees, we know where their honey comes from, and we know it’s the real deal.

Right now, Beatrice has their fireweed honey, which is a bit of a rare treat. It comes from fireweed growing in the foothills of the Cascades and has a beautiful, delicate flavor that’s different from the honey we get from our own hives here in the valley.

One of the funny realities of keeping bees is that honey is seasonal and unpredictable. Every hive and every year is different. Sometimes you have an abundance, sometimes you don’t, and I actually think that’s part of what makes truly local honey so special.

So when our honey runs out, I’d much rather introduce you to another beekeeper whose work we trust than bring in something I can’t personally vouch for.
