And now it’s time to properly introduce the fourth artist in our first Alchemy Collective: Sandra Schäffner from Kreidewerkstatt in Germany.⁠
⁠
Sandra has a particular eye for old furniture with character: pieces that have already lived a life and are simply waiting for their next chapter.⁠
⁠
Her approach isn’t about creating something perfect. Instead, she wants each finished piece to radiate something, evoke a feeling and create a certain mood.⁠
⁠
Sandra often works intuitively, allowing colours, textures and those all-important little details to develop as she goes. Rather than deciding exactly what a piece should look like before she begins, she gives the creative process room to lead the way.⁠
⁠
And that means no two pieces ever turn out quite the same.⁠
⁠
With such an intuitive approach, we’re especially curious to discover where the colours and inspiration of Summer Glow will take her. ☀️⁠

It’s time to properly introduce another of our four Alchemy Collective artists: Kate Holt, the furniture artist behind Colour Me KT in Hertfordshire, UK.
⁠
Kate transforms vintage and mid-century furniture into one-of-a-kind statement pieces.⁠
⁠
A Fusion Mineral Paint stockist for almost 10 years, Kate has spent years helping and inspiring furniture painters through workshops, demonstrations, social media and an active online community.⁠
⁠
Her favourite part of the process is experimenting with colour, texture and decorative techniques to discover new ways of bringing old furniture back to life.⁠
⁠
Whether she’s creating bold contemporary finishes or breathing new life into a forgotten piece, Kate believes every project has a story waiting to be told.⁠

She loves pushing the boundaries of paint, embracing happy accidents, and encouraging others to be creative and, most importantly, have fun with furniture painting.⁠

It’s time to properly introduce the first of our four Alchemy Collective artists: Jodi Walker from Upcycled & Reloved by Jodi, based in Surrey, UK.⁠

Jodi is a furniture artist and Fusion Mineral Paint stockist who loves taking tired, forgotten pieces and giving them a completely new lease of life through colour, pattern and creativity.⁠

If you ask Jodi what her style is, she loves to experiment and she’s definitely not one for playing it safe when it comes to furniture!⁠
⁠
She’s at her happiest trying new techniques and seeing where an idea takes her, often starting with a vision and letting the piece evolve along the way.⁠

It also brings Jodi great joy to see the creative spark ignite in others, and she loves hosting upcycling workshops where she can share her passion.⁠

For Jodi, upcycling is about the freedom to create something that feels completely unique. And there’s nothing better than taking something that’s been overlooked and turning it into a piece that makes you stop and look twice.⁠

What an exciting moment! ❤️
Now I can finally tell you what I’ve been keeping secret! 🤣
I’m incredibly honored to have been invited by Fusion Mineral Paint Europe to be one of four artists in the very first Alchemy Collective.
Four Artists, four completely different creative voices.
We were each given exactly the same challenge:
one theme- Summer Glow.
three colors- Raspberry, Harvest and Thistle.

Fusion gave me three colors.
Three letters of my alphabet.
And if you know me, you know I couldn’t simply paint with them…
First I had to teach them how to speak. ❤️
I can’t wait to finally show you the story they told.

No i wreszcie mogę Wam powiedzieć, to co tak długo musialam trzymać w tajemnicy! 🤣❤️
Z ogromną radością mogę już oficjalnie ogłosić, że zostałam zaproszona przez jako jedna z czterech artystek do udziału w pierwszym . ❤️ Cztery Artystki cztery zupełnie inne twórcze glosy..
Każda z nas dostała dokładnie to samo wyzwanie:
1 temat- Summer Glow.
3 kolory- Raspberry, Harvest i Thistle.

Fusion dało mi trzy kolory.
Trzy litery mojego alfabetu.
A jeśli mnie znacie, to wiecie, że nie mogłam tak po prostu nimi pomalować mebla…
Najpierw musiałam nauczyć te kolory mówić. ❤️
I już niedługo będę mogła Wam pokazać historię, którą razem opowiedziały.

We’re excited to introduce The Alchemy Collective: a new creative series celebrating individuality, imagination and the wonderfully different ways artists see the same starting point.⁠

Here’s how it works:⁠
⁠
For each edition, four furniture artists from across Europe are invited to take part in one shared creative challenge.⁠
⁠
All four artists receive the same theme as their inspiration.⁠
⁠
All four receive the same three Alchemy by Fusion™ colours to work with.⁠
⁠
And from there? It’s entirely up to them.⁠
⁠
They can blend the colours, layer them, create texture, make one colour the star or take their piece in a completely unexpected direction. There’s no prescribed style and no expected outcome.⁠

No two artists see a piece the same way.⁠
⁠
We’re keeping the first theme, colour palette and artists under wraps for just a little longer… ⁠

Są takie chwile, kiedy serce jest jednocześnie pełne radości i wzruszenia. ❤️
Wczoraj, choć dzielił mnie od Was cały ocean, byłam z Wami myślami przez cały dzień.
Patrzyłam na zdjęcia, czytałam Wasze relacje i czułam ogromną dumę.
To, co jeszcze kilka lat temu było grupą ludzi połączonych przez internet, miłość do patyny i starych mebli, stało się czymś znacznie większym.
Stało się społecznością.
Społecznością kobiet, które inspirują się nawzajem, uczą od siebie, śmieją się razem, wzruszają i wspierają.
Warsztaty... Wernisaż... Rozmowy o sztuce... Pierwsze spotkania twarzą w twarz... I prace, które opowiadały historie swoich autorek.
Ale był też moment szczególny.
Wśród wystawionych prac znalazły się również dzieła naszej kochanej Marzenki Paszel. Marzena Jolanta Paszel
Marzenka nie mogła już być z Wami. Przegrała walkę z chorobą...Ale jej sztuka była obecna. Jej historia była obecna. Jej miejsce w naszych sercach również.
To był piękny i poruszający memorial, który przypomniał nam, że człowiek odchodzi, ale dobro, które zostawił, potrafi żyć bardzo długo. Były łzy. Był śmiech. Były wspomnienia. A wieczorem... były tańce przy ognisku.
I pomyślałam wtedy, że właśnie tak wygląda życie.
Płacz i śmiech. Pożegnania i nowe początki. Sztuka i przyjaźń. Pamięć i nadzieja.
Moje kochane Patyniary...
Jestem z Was niewiarygodnie dumna.
Nie dlatego, że tworzycie piękne rzeczy.
Jestem dumna dlatego, że stworzyłyście coś o wiele cenniejszego.
Miejsce, w którym ludzie czują się bezpiecznie. Miejsce, w którym pasja łączy serca. Miejsce, w którym nikt nie jest sam.
Dziękuję każdej z Was za to, że piszecie ten rozdział naszej wspólnej historii. Życzę Wam wielu takich spotkań w przyszłości ❤️❤️❤️
A ja, choć zza oceanu, biję Wam brawo z całego serca. Bo właśnie o tym zawsze marzyłam. Nie o grupie, która uczy się patyn.
O rodzinie, która uczy się żyć piękniej. ❤️

SOLD!

I don't begin with colour. I begin with an emotion.
That emotion becomes a thought.
The thought becomes a story.
And only then do I pick up a paintbrush.
That's what I've meant by:"Metamorfoza Furniture Barbara Hansen is painting from Inside Out" - my motto for past 24 years...
Because furniture has never been my subject.
People are.
Furniture and paint is simply the language I use to tell their stories....

RADIATE LOVE ❤️

This chest of drawers was created on January 22nd during one of my online Touched by Patina (Trącone Patyną) courses.
For almost six months, it waited patiently in my booth at America's Antique Mall Algonquin for the person who would connect with its story.
Today... it finally found its home.
And I think that's another beautiful reminder that art has its own timing.
Some pieces find their owners immediately.
Others simply wait for the right heart.
Not because they are less beautiful—but because they are meant for someone specific.

The heart of this piece is the beautiful "Radiate Love" decoupage paper by WhimsyKel (link in the comments)
The woman with her eyes gently closed isn't looking at the world around her.
She's looking within.
The light she holds in her hands doesn't fall from the sky.
It comes from inside her.
That was the story I wanted this piece to tell.
Because life doesn't always give us reasons to shine.
Sometimes, we have to discover the light that has been within us all along.
The layered patina on this dresser doesn't hide the passage of time.
It celebrates it.
Every worn edge, every crack, every layer reminds us that true beauty is not born from perfection.
It is born from the stories we've lived.
That's why I often say:
Furniture and paint is my language. Hope is my message.
I don't simply refinish old furniture.
I use it to tell stories about resilience, healing, and the quiet strength we all carry inside.
Today, this dresser begins a new chapter of its own story...
In a new home.
And I hope that every time its new owner walks past it, they'll remember one simple truth:

The brightest light you'll ever find... is the one you choose to keep alive within yourself. ❤️✨

Ta komoda powstała 22 stycznia, podczas mojego kursu online Trącone Patyną/ Touched by Patina (Klub Patyniar)
Przez prawie pół roku czekała cierpliwie w moim stoisku w America's Antique Mall na osobę, która poczuje jej historię.
Dziś znalazła swój dom.
I wiecie co?
To kolejny dowód na to, że sztuka ma swój własny rytm. Niektóre prace znajdują właściciela od razu. Inne potrzebują czasu. Nie dlatego, że są mniej piękne... tylko dlatego, że czekają na właściwe serce.
Centralnym punktem tej komody jest papier "Radiate Love" by ( link in the comments)
Kobieta z zamkniętymi oczami nie patrzy na świat. Ona patrzy do środka.
Światło, które trzyma w dłoniach, nie spadło na nią z nieba. Ono wychodzi z jej wnętrza.
To właśnie chciałam opowiedzieć tą pracą.
Bo życie nie zawsze daje nam powody do świecenia, wtedy właśnie trzeba odnaleźć siłę i światło w sobie.
Patyna na tej komodzie nie ukrywa upływu czasu. Wręcz przeciwnie.
Każda warstwa, każde przetarcie i każde spękanie przypomina, że prawdziwe piękno nie rodzi się z doskonałości.
Rodzi się z przeżytych historii.
Dlatego od 24 lat powtarzam moje motto: "Metamorfoza Furniture Barbara- maluje od środka, na zewnątrz" ( painting from Inside out)
Meble i farba to moj język a Nadzieja to mój przekaz...Nie odnawiam tylko starych mebli.
Za ich pomocą opowiadam historie o tym, że nawet po najtrudniejszych doświadczeniach można nadal świecić.
A ta komoda właśnie wyruszyła pisać kolejny rozdział swojej historii... w nowym domu...

Mam nadzieję że za każdym razem kiedy jej właściciel na nią spojrzy, przypomni sobie tą prostą prawdę: Najjaśniejsze światło jakie możesz znaleźć to to które postanowiłeś utrzymywać żywe w sobie...
