Green light.

Homework goes better when the room isn't working against you. We built the desk into the wall so it takes up zero floor space, and left the surface clear enough that starting doesn't feel like a project of its own. Nine years as a counselor taught me that resistance shows up before the task does, so I design to lower it. The snack station around the corner doesn't hurt either. 😉

Glass act.

I picked glass mosaic for this bar because it does something no flat surface can. It catches whatever light is in the room and hands it back, so the whole nook shifts a little depending on the hour and who’s standing in it. That movement is the point. A bar is where people loosen up and settle in, and I want the space to feel as alive as the conversation happening in it.

People first. Exceptional design follows. That's the order of operations at Michelle's Interiors, and it starts long before the first floor plan.

We're a small, all-female team, and we've designed our process to feel like the homes we design: welcoming, intuitive, and built around you. We ask thoughtful questions. We listen for what you might struggle to articulate—not just what you want your home to look like—but how you want life inside it to feel. Everything we create serves three outcomes: peace, flow, and belonging.
