Table talk.

The best outdoor spaces don't feel like outside. They feel like the inside decided to keep going. This covered patio has a full seating area, an outdoor kitchen, a fireplace, and a ceiling that does more work than most interior ones. The coffered detail and tongue and groove planking overhead give the whole thing a reason to look up.

Outside is just another room. It just has better air.

Snowcapped peaks, cathedral timber trusses, and interior spaces that makes you forget you ever had somewhere to be. Our clients'' Estes Park vacation home was designed the same way we approach every project: around the people who live in it. Some rooms just have a better backdrop.

Wallpaper Wednesday.

The powder room is the one place you can go completely fearless and never have to justify it. This chinoiserie does exactly that. Floor to ceiling birds, branches, and blooms on a dusty blue ground, paired with a kelly green vanity and rose quartz hardware that had absolutely no business working this well together. And yet.

Small room. Zero hesitation. Maximum personality.

The dog days of summer. 🐕‍🦺

Some clients are harder to impress than others. This one claimed the foyer before the reveal was even over and hasn't moved since. Can't say we blame him.

The entry does a lot of work quietly. Black console, warm oak treads, brass and ceramic on top, baskets below for whatever life brings through the front door. It's the first thing you see and the last thing you pass on the way out. It should feel like home from the very first step.

It apparently also makes an excellent napping spot. 🐾

Knotty by nature.

This entry does exactly what a foyer should: it tells you something about the people inside before you ever get past the door. Reclaimed wood, a woven bench, a braided knot object, and two black iron rings that couldn't care less about being conventional. Nothing here is trying to match. It's all just speaking the same language.

The staircase does its part too. Black metal balusters against white with warm oak treads, clean geometry that lets the vignette below hold the personality.
Foyer design that leads with character because the entrance sets the tone for every room that follows.

Pour decisions were made. All of them good.

This bar wasn't built for occasional use. Double beverage fridges, a leathered black stone countertop, and a three dimensional geometric tile backsplash that commands the whole wall without saying a word. The charcoal cabinetry and brass hardware do what good contrast always does: make each other better.

The open shelves keep it from feeling like a cabinet and the closed storage keeps it from looking like a party that never got cleaned up. Both things at once. That's the goal.

When a home bar is designed this deliberately, it stops being an amenity and starts being a room.

Love handles.

The dresser has been doing a lot of heavy lifting, and it doesn't look like it. Powder blue lacquer, acrylic and brass hardware, and a vignette on top that feels genuinely collected because it is. The abstract behind it pulls every color in the room into one place without trying to match a single thing.

That's the goal, always. A room that looks like it came together over time, even when every decision was intentional.

Prints charming.

Mixing patterns is less about rules and more about confidence. This guest room layers block print pillows, a floral duvet, and striped wallpaper in the bathroom without a single print asking permission from the others. The trick is a shared color story. When the palette holds, the patterns can play.

Every piece feels considered but not coordinated within an inch of its life. That's the difference between a room that looks designed and one that looks lived in. This one manages to be both.

Got your back.

The mirror on the back of this door wasn't an afterthought. It was the whole point. A full length view of what everyone else sees when you leave the house is exactly the kind of detail that sounds small until you don't have it.

The cabinet beside it tells the same story. Pull-out drawers for hot tools, dedicated shelves for everything that usually ends up on the counter, and a built-in vanity section below so getting ready has an actual home. Good storage doesn't hide things. It puts them exactly where you need them.

📷:

Every decision in this primary bath was made around how someone actually lives in it, which is the only kind of luxury that holds up.

Nobody puts baby in the corner... unless it's this one.

Window seats earn their place when they're designed around actual use. Storage underneath, cushions worth sitting on, and enough pillow depth to make you forget you had somewhere to be. This corner didn't get leftover space. It got the full treatment.
