A little show and tell shall we?

Early this spring I added a couple beeswax candles I had handy and stuck them on a super frame surrounded by beeswax. I had zero expectations, I simply wanted to see how the bees interacted with the candle forms. Doing something for the sake of doing it. I was curious and had the means to explore that curiosity, nothing more. When I went back to check on these frames months later, I admit I did forget about them, the bees had worked their wonders! I got to examine the differences in comb pattern and size, how they moved around the forms and how they packed in the honey and so much more. Creating two completely unique pieces of art that I was so proud to be a part. A little
Tay-lore for ya, I studied Art History many moons ago and have a deep appreciation for art of all kinds! So this was just a little activity to bring me back to my roots and I hope it inspires you to show off something you are proud of, something you created or did just because you wanted too and I’d love to hear all about it!!

Annnd we’re back at it with the beeswax.. for now! This process is not complicated or hard, just a little hot and messy at times. There is wax all over my kitchen but it’s fine, it’s fineeee! Messes can be cleaned! I did start feeling weird so I didn’t want to be on camera anymore. Since I got an influx of followers the past few months I do find myself protecting myself a lot more, I have noticed a lot more watchers and well haters to say the least but I’m going to keep doing my thang and do my best to protect my self from any negativity or anyone wishing me ill intent. So anytime anyone references me or mine(that’s you boo) the abundance flows and multiplies ten-fold! Ayyyee we swimming in blessings babe, we are so loved and cherished and supported by the masses!! Now go tell a pollinator how highly favored you are and let me know what the say 🐝🦋🪲🦇🐭

Yall it’s too hot to be doing all of this but I have to give the people what they want!! And what they want are beeswax products! So I’m going to be breaking my renderings into smaller batches. Will it take longer, absolutely, will I not sweat as much, probably not. Any and all encouragement is welcomed, I might need my hype women and men to get me to the finish line that is the honey harvest of 2026😅

It’s almost GOLDENROD TIME!!! Roughly six weeks from the time they bloom is when we will see our first frost, let’s see if Mother Nature will play along with year! The last supers are being pulled and this year’s honey harvest will come to an end. I cannot express enough the love and gratitude I have for everyone following along on this beautiful, stressful, hot and hilarious journey with me and for always supporting your local beekeepers!! We will take all the support we can get during these hot summer months! So cheers to you and cheers to me, protect the pollinators and save the bees! 🐝

What is the dearth in beekeeping? It’s the period of time, usually during hot,dry weather, when nectar and pollen sources are less abundant or nonexistent at all. I only feed my bees when resources are low, other beekeepers feed year round and some not at all. Once the golden rod starts blooming then the feeders come off and they can finish off a jar a day, sometimes more during this time! So support your local beekeepers and help feed the bees!!
