This last post is an auction item! See details below! 🎉

An atmospheric coastal oil painting signed and dated 1904, depicting a quiet rocky shoreline with anchored sailboats and a beached dory. Richly painted in soft, moody tones with beautiful age-related craquelure and housed in an antique gilt frame. The painting bears the signature “N. M. Dyer” and is dated 1904. An ownership inscription on the reverse references Rev. T.J. McCabe and the year 1931, though the complete provenance of the piece is unknown. Whether displayed above a sideboard, mantel, or incorporated into a gallery wall, it offers warmth, history, and a classic coastal quietude. Excellent condition for its age! Measures 44x22.5.”

I am so lucky and thankful for this beautiful woman I get to call my mom! She is the original treasure hunter—long before vintage became trendy. She could walk into any antique store, thrift shop, or estate sale and somehow see beauty and potential where others may not have looked twice. She taught me that a home is layered over time — with meaningful pieces, collected memories, and things that simply make your heart happy.

Some of my most vivid memories growing up were spent watching her create beauty on a budget and make our home feel warm, welcoming, and comfortable. I don’t think she realized it then, but she was shaping the way I see the world now. My love for vintage, decorating, hosting, and creating a home filled with character all began with her. She showed me that making a house feel special was never about perfection or having the newest things. It’s about heart, creativity, and finding joy in the details.

I’m so grateful for her influence every single day, and it feels especially meaningful now to carry that into the mother I get to be to my own children.

Happy Mother’s Day, Mom, and to the women who inspire us, teach us, and show us how to create beauty in everyday life. 🩵

Last post this evening! 🎉 A beautifully crafted antique French linen press in the style of Louis Philippe, finished in a warm honey-toned maple veneer with incredible depth and movement throughout the grain! The paneled doors, substantial crown molding, and shaped bracket feet give this piece such a classic provincial presence while still feeling wonderfully clean and versatile for today’s interiors. The original escutcheons and working key add just the right amount of character, and the interior offers generous shelving for linens, clothing, pantry storage, or even media concealment. The wood tone on this piece is especially lovely — rich and glowing with age, showing the natural knots, figuring, and patina that only decades of use can create. It would be equally beautiful in a bedroom, layered into a European-inspired living space, or used as a statement storage piece in a bathroom. Solid and substantial with expected age-related wear, scuffs, and imperfections consistent with antique furniture, all of which only add to its character and authenticity. A beautiful trio of older Chinese Blue Canton plates on wooden easels, each hand-painted with the classic riverside landscape that has made Blue Canton such an enduring favorite for centuries. Pagodas, willow trees, arched bridges, and tiny sailing boats unfold across each plate in rich blue hues. Blue Canton has long been beloved for its ability to feel both refined and relaxed — equally at home in an English cottage kitchen, layered into a traditional plate wall, or styled on open shelving alongside collected treasures.
